Often when you rent a place, upon arrival you discover that the photos were taken at a misleading angle, or that something about the place is not really as nice as it was spelled out to be. "Very happy with Icon. Entrance and access were convenient and easy, location very good, with bus stops within a 2-3 minute walk, the Lido/Cassarate area only 12-15 minute walk, and downtown only a 20-minute or so walk. The building was modern, and accommodation was very nice. Murphy bed very comfy, good kitchen and a very good bathroom with a rain showerhead. Nothing but nice things to say...we really loved it! "

"Celebrated my birthday with friends at the hotel with a long spa weekend. Relatively easy to get to- Lugano Station has plenty of taxis or uber availability if you don't want to wait for the bus. All the staff were lovely and very accommodating. Beautiful views and a lovely spa. Treatments were also great. The Bar/Bistro was particularly nice to unwind in to have a drink and get food."

"I was incredibly surprised to find such a gem in Lugano. ALLthe staff (front desk, restaurant, gym, spa) were warm and welcoming and most important competent. The rooms are sparse but super clean and functional apartments. I enjoyed the spa services and products as well as the gym classes. The restaurant was the biggest surprise- should have a Michelin star. Excellent food, presentation and knowledgable and attentive staff. The view is gorgeous- i fact we saw an end to end rainbow one day after a storm from mountain to lake. Sorta sums up the place. Very intimate and special. "

"Staff were not friendly and we felt uncomfortable at check-in and asking questions during our 2 night stay. Buffet breakfast was good. We knew it was an Ibis budget hotel but there is no privacy for anyone in the room to go to the bathroom or shower. Barely enough room for carry-on sized luggage. I would not recommend for anyone travelling with full sized luggage."

"This hotel has eveything you might need with well maintained rooms. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We received a welcome gift of Swiss chocolate, breakfast was well organized and foods were kept supplied. Coffees offered were plentiful and good. This hotel is right down the funicular from the Lugano train station.....no lugging your baggage, just wonderful!! If I were to be in Lugano again, this is the hotel where I would stay again!"
