"Lovely peaceful accommodation in the hills with a great view. Simple set-up but has everything you need for a week. The hosts were really good at communicating and resolved issues very quickly. You just need to be a confident driver to get up the steep roads leading to the property."

"We enjoyed our stay at Casa da Cebola, located in a nice little garden, in a fresh and relatively quiet place 20 minutes away from Funchal. The house has character and is clean, the kitchen is well-equipped and the beddings comfortable. We mostly deplore that the dish-washer was out of use during our stay, and that, contrary to the house description, we had no access to a washing machine."

"Quiet, clean, in the middle of forest and agriculture. Manager Linda was helpful in providing us with kitchen items lacking in the property. She also provided a lovely fruit basket and some food staples on arrival that were most welcome as well as giving us a contact for a taxi transfer."
