Mother daughter time

We were not looking for luxury, we were looking for a clean place to stay and not far from the city centre. This place fulfilled this.

Terrible House, Do Not Recommend

I stayed here for 25 nights with my husband between July and August 2024. I do not recommend this accommodation to anyone. The property was not cleaned before we arrived. It was messy and unclean. We needed to contact the host and have a cleaning service arranged immediately. There are cockroaches on the ground floor, the laundry room, along the staircase, and in the upstairs bedroom. It was very concerning and there were no solutions to manage the pests (we bought our own cockroach spray to manage). It was difficult to reach the host and he was not responsive. The lock on the front door was broken and the host had committed to repair it early on during our stay but it never was repaired. There are fixtures in the house that are broken and unsafe. The handrail along the spiraling staircase is broken and can’t bear any weight, which makes it extremely unsafe. There is no air conditioning or any fans in the house and no ventilation in the bathroom. We were also advised not to open the windows because of the pests (there are no screens on any windows), but we had no choice because of how humid and hot it was in the house. It smelled atrocious everywhere in the house. We never used the laundry room because of the mould and the cockroaches. And, the stove did not work properly! Honestly, it was a terrible stay and we will never return here again. The only benefit of this accommodation is the location because it is essentially in the downtown of Ponta Delgada.

The property was clean and had a lot of useful amenities. The rooms were of good size. As a heads up, the closest parking is a few minutes walk away and Google maps does not bring you directly to this property! Definitely keep an eye out for the art shown in the property photos. The host was very responsive which was helpful for checking in and out.

Great location and host: better for a Ponta Delgado visit than Sao Miguel

Clean, city apartment. Perfect if you’re visiting Ponta Delgado, but not as good an option if you’re seeing more of Sao Miguel. No parking, small, and not well ventilated (did not benefit from the ocean breezes one seems to get anywhere in the Azores other than dense Ponta Delgado neighborhoods. Host is excellent: great communication and very helpful as I retrieved an item left behind.

Communication with owner was great . The property is close to the centre of the city of Ponta Delgada. No AC and a bit older however the location you can’t beat.

Zentral gelegene Stadtwohnung, leider nicht zum Wohlfühlen

Zentrale Lage und gut um sich die Stadt anzusehen. Unkomplizierte Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter. Die Wohnung war zwar gesäubert, doch machte sie trotzdem einen unangenehmen Gesamteindruck. Die Matratzen rochen nach Urin, die Kissen waren durchgeschwitzt, die Wolldecke roch unsauber. Wir waren froh, nur zwei Nächte gebucht zu haben. Wir können diese Stadtwohnung leider gar nicht weiter empfehlen.

Great location!

If you want to be in the heart of Ponta Delgada, this place is perfect. It is convenient to everything. You don’t need a car, but if you have one, there’s a parking lot quite close. The street is fairly loud and busy, but things quiet down as the night falls. Great view from the 3rd floor.
