"The Octant is a great hotel. Location is perfect. The staff is absolutely amazing and very helpful. They certainly go over and beyond to make your stay perfect. The hotel is clean, up to date and the breakfast is soooo delicious!! I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone that goes to Sao Miguel. This is one of the nicest hotels that we have ever stayed in. "Overall, the property was Good: breakfasts, the dinner we had, the rooms were all as expected; the interior decor is good: the dining room had a display cabinet with an old radio set I remember from when I was a kid!! The location is a short walk (downhill) to the City Gates, good for buses, shops and marina with its shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, we were in a street facing room where, on Wednesday night, we were woken up by music and what must have been karaoke at about 0130 (Thursday)....
