"Absolutely disgusting experience. When we first pulled up to the hotel, I genuinely thought it was closed because the lobby was covered in dust and dirt and looked completely neglected. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning.
We checked in quickly because we were heading to a wrestling championship and didn’t have time to really inspect the room. When we came back later and looked around, the room was absolutely filthy. The floors and walls were dirty and looked like they hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. To make matters worse, we found two live roaches in the room. At that point, we immediately packed up and left.
I went straight to the front desk to check out and request a refund. The attendant, Dwayne, told me I had to contact Expedia. Expedia then made several attempts to reach the hotel for approval of the refund, but the hotel never responded to their calls or emails.
It’s beyond unacceptable for a hotel to rent rooms that are this dirty and infested with roaches, and even worse that they refused to respond or take responsibility afterward. I am absolutely disgusted by this experience and the lack of accountability.
Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. No guest should have to deal with this."
"Everything is in good condition, there were a few areas of our room that were not 100% clean, stains on arms of chair, marks on wall, dirty fingerprint on wall switch. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The breakfast was good for a free basic breakfast. It lacks the attention to detail the better properties offers. Overall it was a good deal for the money."
"We had a glorious visit at the Grand Victorian on Main! Our hostess Tracey has thought of everything. We were traveling with two teenage daughters, who basically decided this was “home”. Whether the cool basement rec room, the living room, or the kitchen…it was theirs. Every bedroom has special touches to make the stay memorable. Even our dog was welcome, and comfortable (sorry Tracey - she loved the duvets). It is so conveniently located to everything that Ligonier has to offer downtown - totally walkable. But we were there to ski - 20-30 minutes to three different ski resorts. We’re only sorry that it was winter, and we couldn’t use the pool, but the fire pit was pretty cool. Tracey was a superb communicator, and every aspect of our trip was flawless. Would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to the Laurel Highlands. "
