"Apart from the property being some 12 miles (20km) away from the nearest town it was ideal for travelling to and from main places of interest. Everything that could be wished for in the property was available and our English speaking contact Bridget (Not the property owner) was very helpful. If you stay here, do not forget to feed the donkey. We also went away with a very good supply of sweet chestnuts, hazel nuts and walnuts."

"We have stayed in many french gites over the years, but this farmhouse in the grounds of a beautiful chateau is exceptional. The location, close to Malestroit and Ploermel was excellent for shopping and visiting the markets and many larger towns were less than 30 minutes away. Helene was a great host, who was friendly, informative and helpful. "We spent a leisurely 12 days in this comfortable home. Patricia and her family made us feel immediately welcome. The bedrooms have views of the chateau. Inside, the house is very quiet; stepping out front we were always greeted by melodic bird songs. It is a two minute walk to the Brest-Nantes canal with lovely walking paths on both sides, and a 5-10 minute walk to the center restaurants and boulangeries.
