We spent a leisurely 12 days in this comfortable home. Patricia and her family made us feel immediately welcome. The bedrooms have views of the chateau. Inside, the house is very quiet; stepping out front we were always greeted by melodic bird songs. It is a two minute walk to the Brest-Nantes canal with lovely walking paths on both sides, and a 5-10 minute walk to the center restaurants and boulangeries. We could not have been happier with our stay.
We were given an inaccurate address so we ended up in the wrong place.
The street name should be rue du General de Gaule and not rue Charles de Gaule. Fortunately the host was at the end of a telephone and we eventually made it to the property although very late.
Mostly well equipped although there should have been salt, pepper, cooking oil, soap to wash your hands in the bathroom and some tea bags, coffee and milk for the first cuppa on arrival.
There was wine, cider and water though.
Unfortunately the internet was down on arrival and despite the host’s efforts, we didn’t have internet until late afternoon on the 3rd day. It was not their fault. It was a fault with Orange wiring.
The host was very obliging. He provided a gas bbq and a rotary washing line. There is a dishwasher and a washing machine, both in perfect order with the appropriate detergents provided.
The property would benefit from having a toilet downstairs especially when the bathroom is being used.
A chair in the bedrooms would also be useful.
All together we are very pleased with the accommodation and would recommend it.
Our family were so happy to return for another stay at this great property - it remains just as we remembered: spacious, comfortable, and well appointed, with welcoming and supportive hosts, in a fabulous location near the town centre but with quiet outside space to appreciate also.
Comfortable stay within 5 minute walk of Josselin Castle.
Exceptionally clean accommodation overlooking Josselin Castle House had everything we needed for a short stay. Owner kindly met us at the property to show us around. Josselin is a lovely small town on a beautiful part of the Nante Brest canal.
House in a perfect position for town as you can walk in. Fixtures and fittings a bit basic but adequate. Perfect for the dog - he couldn’t use the stairs which were a bit tricky. We had a fab week.
Lovely house within 5 minute walk to the town center. We stayed here for 3 months. Hosts were fast to respond when the TV signal stopped due to a bush which they came out and trimmed the same day resolving the issue. Thank you Patricia and Duncan!
Attentive host; spacious and well appointed property in a stunning location!
We had the most wonderful time staying at this property in Josselin. The kitchen in particularly was very well stocked with everything we could possibly have needed for our time away. The accommodation was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the host was there to show us around when we checked in. Communication from the host was excellent and he was so friendly and attentive. The location was superb, with amazing views of the Chateau and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. We would not hesitate to return to stay here again!! 😊
The property is situated within a stones throw of the chateau in Josselin and has everything you could possibly need during your stay. The house was spotless when we arrived and we were greeted by the host Duncan who could not have been more friendly and was on hand throughout our stay if required. The village itself has oodles of character and charm with a good choice of restaurants and I would recommend a trip on the canal which was very tranquil.
All things considered I could not fault the place or the location and will definitely be back.
Week end de Noël donc décoration dans la maison , bel échange avec les propriétaires, délicate attention avec un petit cadeau de bienvenue. Située au cœur de la ville. Très bien a recommander
Great property amazing location couldn't have asked for anything better
Easy from start to finish, great communication and available if we needed anything. House spotlessly clean and very well equipped. View of the chateau was stunning. Situated in a great town and a good base to travel about from
It is a great, comfortable, clean and extremely well equipped house. The location is perfect. We also enjoyed the garden and the barbecue. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. Thanks for the welcome gifts. Highly recommend!!

What a wonderful place. The house was as described and very well tended. Duncan got us settled and showed us around and gave us directions to the bakeries and other shops. location was wonderful and we walked into the town center regularly. Walking paths along the canal were great as well. Since we were there in November/December when the strikes started Duncan made sure we were aware of the gas purchase limitations. We're planning to visit again in the summer months to see how things are when it's warmer and more people around. Highly recommend this wonderful centrally located home.
