"Great access to the beach via a board walk through the Mangroves. Surrounded by birds and so many cool animals, this is truly a gem of a stay. The room was great, and had comfortable beds, large bathroom, and AC. Highly recommend. The only struggle I had was getting assistance from the staff for arranging tours and activities even though their website mentions they can help. Highly recommend the Oropopo Experience guided Avellanas Wildlife Walk."

"Ben is a fabulous host! He was so friendly, very quick to respond to questions, and very helpful. He had great suggestions for restaurants, helpful tips for the area, and even helped set us up with a boat tour.The treehouse itself has a wonderfully rustic charm about it. We enjoyed our morning coffees on the upstairs porch, watching the birds and monkeys in the trees. The hammocks were a great place to spend a quiet afternoon. The bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed both eating out as well as cooking for ourselves. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals if you choose to do so. As far as location goes, it is centrally situated. The beach is a short walk away, as are the restaurants. And even with this central location, it is a secluded little paradise. We absolutely loved it, and we would love to visit again!! Thanks Ben!"

"This place is even more beautiful than I thought it would be! It was perfect for us, who are avid campers and love living outdoors. The cabin is located on the top of a hill (about 30 steps down to the beach). There are 2 other cabins at the top of the hill. One is directly beside this cabin, which hinders the privacy. The other place is pretty hidden by the trees. We had complete privacy during the week, but not on the weekend. At night we walked the beach with flashlights and we saw a sea turtle! On our last morning we finally saw the 9 howler monkeys that woke us up each day and we saw a pod of whales swim by!!! Bring binoculars!! You can snorkel right at the bottom of the hill (we saw a variety of small colourful fish, others saw a sea turtle). Playa Negra is 20 minutes up the beach and the surfing there is incredible. We watched some pro surfers. You can also surf right at the bottom of the hill. Advanced surfing. There is a sandy beach 10 minutes south (halfway between cabin and Playa Negra) which was perfect for swimming. The road in is very rugged and hard to navigate at first - don’t arrive at nighttime!! The kitchen is well stocked, however, the main issue is the fridge! It is tiny and does not keep food/drinks cold -especially in the heat. A full-sized fridge is greatly needed here as it is remote and very hot. Bring a big cooler and lots of ice!! We would definitely come back to this place. Beatrice was fantastic and made sure we had what we needed. AMAZING PLACE!"

"We had an excellent stay and would absolutely return. The property was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. Everything felt easy from check-in through our entire stay. What truly stood out was the beach access. Being able to walk straight to the beach made a huge difference for our family. Morning walks, surf sessions, and sunsets were effortless and became part of our daily rhythm. That convenience alone made the stay special. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful. It felt like a place where you can truly settle in and enjoy your time without stress. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for easy beach access and a laid-back, well-run place to stay. "

"Clean room. Owned by a kind and thoughtful couple. Even their dog was sweet. They are super approachable and made everything very easy. Including helping me arrange a private airport transfer to and from the villa to LIR ($120 USD each way). This property is well-maintained, and the common areas are always clean and comfortable. The bathrooms come equipped with bidets, which is very helpful/thoughtful. So you don't need to pack a portable one. Every person I met on staff was quite pleasant. Annabella is an absolute delight! Breakfast (ovo-vegetarian) was tasty, and fresh coffee was prepared every morning. The shared kitchen is stocked with any utensil you'd need to prepare a meal (+mini fridge in room) Things to note: - try to shop for some groceries before checking in. It's easier to stop on your way to the property, and not think about it later. - if you depend on electricity for an item (e.g. using a CPAP), be prepared for some (very brief <5 minutes) brown/blackouts in this area. They only happened during the day (and late morning. ~8:30am), when I visited - there are two sodas/restaurants less than a block away. So if you didn't grocery shop, you will be just fine. - there is a small shop (Surya Natural) for essentials 15 minutes (walk) away, and a small beer/surf shop (~15 minute walk down playa Avellanas) - the beach is a 5 minute walk away - bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper - pack conditioner if your hair gets dry (bathroom will have shampoo and bodywash)"

"Its a very pleasant property to look at, clean , with areas to relax. Pool, resturant. Staff are great. Its only a 5 minute walk to the beach. I really enjoyed staying there and will again."
