Nixon was amazing—so kind and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly. This place has heart. "Agree with most of the previous reviews but would like to add a couple things we did. We had a family of ten 6 adults, 4 teenage kids. Working with Mary Diekers, the rental property manager, we employed a ten person van and driver to pick us up at the airport. Turns out he was also an excellent daily tour guide, setting up and driving us to zip line, ATV, horse back riding, and river cruise activities. His name is Jeffery Guevara, very friendly, speaks fluent English, and was knowledgable on everything Costa Rican. We also selected to have evening chefs cook dinner for us on three occasions. This was especially helpful after returning from a busy day of activities. Highly recommend Chefs Garrett Hurley and his wife. Their food preparation was incredible, much better than any restaurant. We also rented an SUV at the airport as kind of a back up. As stated by others the property is realatively isolated with bummpy dirt roads in and out. "

"It was a delightful stay! Beautiful and quiet beach! Loved the view and access to the beach.Nice and private. Watched the gorgeous sunset every evening. AC was a plus. The hosts were very considerate and so nice. They came and got garbage and changed our sheets which was so nice. We would definitely rent this place again! Truly a Magical Place"

Beautiful fusion of local hardwood winding stairs, floors and doors/trim with traditional concrete/stucco walls, concrete downstairs/patio and bathroom floors with concrete counters and kitchen island.Bedrooms with ac and openable windows; lots of glass.Patio great in mornings and evenings to enjoy nature."

"Casa Mackay is spacious, clean and beautiful. The pool and outdoor kitchen are so lovely for a day in the backyard.It is a short walk to a secluded beach. We saw some monkeys along the walk :)Gabby responded very quickly to any questions we had. The house is well stocked. They had a cooler bag and chairs To take to the beach. Lots of extra pool towels and linens. Some restaurants and small grocery store within 2-10 minute drive. "
