Was off to a rocky start. The room configuration made half the bed inaccessible. Hotel was sold out so when spoke to owner by phone and she did not care just told us that we would be charged. Another owner came to show us that is was possible to split the beds past the steel beam. Still had to step over the beam every time. Once reconfigured it was acceptable but not enjoyable

Quick easy check in. We had booked a budget room and on arrival to the 2nd floor saw signs saying they were under construction. Everything seamed ok until we realised the toilet was flooding then wouldn’t flush. The lovely lady on reception came with me to check, when she realised it was a broken toilet she upgraded us to another room leaving us with key cards to both rooms overnight as she didn’t want us to feel rushed packing up and moving rooms. No problems with breakfast at all. It’s complementary and plenty of seating inside and out. Downside was no access to tea or coffee outside of breakfast time. This was made even more tricky as we discovered when we arrived on the Friday afternoon that most of the local coffee shops close on Friday around 3pm and don’t open again until Monday morning, if you like us and need a coffee in the morning don’t go over the weekend.
