My family and I enjoyed a wonderful week at the lake over the 4th of July holiday. The house was as described and perfectly suited our needs. The tweens and teens enjoyed the upstairs bunk rooms while the adults enjoyed the downstairs bedrooms (one king and two queens worked out perfectly for our sleeping arrangements). The main living space was comfortable and well-equipped, with ample seating, lighting, and space to accommodate various activities. It is a lake house – there will be a few bugs and it smelled a little musty when we first got in but everything was in good working order and generally clean. The outdoor space was equally great: large yard to play with our pup and a game of cornhole, firepit, kayaks, and beach area that made getting into and out of the water very easy. While there are areas of lake grass around the lake, Andrew does a nice job of ensuring the area around the dock is clear for swimming and playing. The water is tea-colored, but that makes for a good science discussion with the kiddos. The water was shallow and we were able to walk out well beyond the dock, making it perfect for families with kids. We enjoyed watching sunsets, grilling out, and having dinner on the covered porch. It was less buggy than our stays at other lakes, perhaps due in part to the breeze but there wasn’t any standing water to draw the mosquitos either. It was a quick drive into Pine City to get to the store and we also enjoyed takeout from Lotus Thai Cuisine. Overall, a great stay!
