"Paolo’s property was perfect for me and my family. It is clean, spacious and very well presented. It is a perfect location for exploring the Garfagnana region and close to plenty of local amenities. "We loved the house but it’s not for anyone with even slightly impaired walking, balance, or ability to climb stairs. The house is very old, but updated wonderfully. However we never saw any pool. I would definitely return to this house."

"Absolutely wonderful. It was what I imagined a Tuscan Villa would be and more. It is private with spectacular views. The inside is roomy and comfortable with beautiful vaulted wood ceilings throughout. The kitchen was well equipped with everything I could think of. The pool is great with a gate that keeps children safe. The terraces with cushioned seating were perfect for lounging. The beds were very comfortable. Nice washer and clothes line. Highly recommend."

The location inside the remnants of a castle is remarkable, and the view from Monsummano Alto is spectacular. We also had a fantastic dinner at La Forresteria restaurant right on the mountain top."

"Everyone was very friendly, specifically the staff at the bar. Breakfast buffet was nice with many options and good coffee. Room was very clean and had a lot of soace. Bathroom was nice with a good shower. Air Conditioner and n the room worked well. Pool could have more sun chairs as it was like all the time crowded during our stay in August. Easy walking distance to bars and restaurants in the center (10 minutes) The Funicolare to Montecantini Alto is also only 15 minutes by feet away. "
