The quality of (what’s looks like a very recent) renovation was very very good. The shower was amazing and the property was toasty warm. " We had a wonderful, relaxing two weeks at this pretty little cottage. The hottub is a godsend after a long day out. The house is well appointed and has everything you might need. Thanks to a smart setup it appears much bigger inside than the outside makes you believe. Due to the beautiful weather during our stay we were able to enjoy the deck with its lounge area and have some meals outside. The town itself is quaint and pretty and Fraserborough with its shops is only a couple minutes drive."

"I stay in hotels alot for work. Lovely clean recently refurbished rooms. I have stayed here a few times, all the rooms I have had are very spacious, large bathrooms and comfortable beds. Sea view rooms, Netflix, irons and bottled water. The food is also lovely, staff are great and very welcoming. I am extremely fussy about hotels, I like staying here."

"Craig Alvah Lodge provided the perfect place for our family to get together for the weekend. The house is very spacious, well equipped and very clean throughout. Everything is of a very high standard, which was much appreciated by us all. The pool was a great bonus and provided great fun for young and old alike, especially as one day was rainy. The family also enjoyed the pool and table tennis, again good to occupy all on the dull day. Luckily one day was beautiful and we made the most of the barbecue and the well-kept garden. Lots of outdoor seating is provided. It was only a short walk to the picturesque Bridge of Alvah. No wonder this place gets booked up!"

"We have stayed there before and wanted to return. It was so worth it. Nice room and wonderful restaurant with fabulous food and drink. I even had pancakes and the grill was broken! I had them two years ago and they were the best in Scotland so the owner made sure they could make them again!! They even recognized us (two traveling couples) from two years ago! Such amiable people! Five stars!!"

"This cottage is so authentic with it's cosy, comfortable and quirky look, really made us feel at home. It has everything and more that you need and want to ensure your stay is catered for, Kate has thought of everything. The views from the house are breathtaking and we really enjoyed having our breakfast and other meals outside, looking out at the sea, accompanied by the cute seals. Pennan is truly a lovely place, where life slows down, relaxing and the locals are very friendly. Access to the beach, sea and walks, perfect for for a couple holiday, we certainly enjoyed paddleboarding. Various places nearby to visit and not forgetting the delicious cakes from Coastal Cuppie and outstanding meal from The Pennan Inn. Loved this cottage so much, we booked again for the next year, while staying there. Beyond perfect, never felt so relaxed. Looking forward to our next stay. Found our little piece of heaven by the sea."
