"It’s about 20 minutes from the pier and the main town, but honestly, everything on the island takes 20–40 minutes to reach by motorbike. "This is a beautiful boutique hotel in a fabulous location. The staff are lovely and attentive. You can snorkel off the beach and see coral, fish and turtles. We hired scooters to get around but there are restaurants, bars and massage places within walking distance. "

"We loved our stay at Samplangan Penida Resort. The resort was beautiful, the infinity pool had exceptional views, and Ogi and her team were outstanding in making sure that we were well looked after in every respect. We had a total of 6 meals at the resort and everything was delicious. Even when the entire village had a blackout, the chef was able to prepare a really wonderful dinner for us. If you're thinking of visiting Nusa Penida, Samplangan Penida Resort IS the best place to stay. Period. "

"Nice-sized room with a clean, sanitary bathroom. The pool was very nice, and breakfast was delicious, though a bit slow to be prepared. The hotel was very helpful with arranging taxis and scooter rentals, and the welcome drink upon arrival was a nice touch. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily. There’s a small workout area by the pool along with games, which was a nice bonus. The location is a bit remote, but there are several good restaurants nearby."
