This hotel was generally excellent. It’s 20 minutes on a trolley bus from the main Railway station and only 5 minutes from the stop. Staff are great, there’s a free coffee machine in the foyer and the room was fine, with a sink, mini bar, coffee pod machine and a good size with a comfy bed. What isn’t so good is there’s no aircon in the room and the fan in our room had the back falling off. It also has one of those Swiss/German frosted glass doors on the shower room/toilet with no lock which I suspect the rest of the world still find somewhat strange and unnerving!! The price of the room was very reasonable for Zurich though and if this is important to you then I’d definitely recommend it

The room was clean and sufficient in size. It was basically a very small apartment. We found that there is no one at the desk to answer questions as the person that was there "didn't work there" so we would have to contact the owner on WhatsApp. We just dealt with the issue (more of my husband's lack of digital experience) and were fine. However, we got there at 3:05pm and there was no one to give any explanation of how anything in the place worked, which was very frustrating for us older folks that haven't dealt with an all digital space before. They were very quick to drop off toilet paper when we asked the girl at the desk, and the gentleman that came up was nice enough to show me how to run the TV, on the 4th day we were there. This would have been a 5 if we had had someone to give some instruction or at least a call to make sure we got checked in okay or needed help. It's very odd to only have someone available until 3pm when there are people checking in after that.

Self-service model

On arrival it seemed a little small compared to the picture but actually it suited our needs perfectly. It was clean, the shower was amazing, they had a cupboard where you could refill your coffee pods (yes they had a decent coffee machine with pods included!). The kitchenette was tiny yet perfect with everything you could want, a double ring hob, fridge, and built-in dishwasher which was one of the drawers in the kitchen unit and everything was in great condition and well looked after. Positioned near lots of shops in Zurich, 7 mins walk from the train station and about 20 mins walk from the old part of the city it was perfect for our week stay. Top tip, eating out is hell expensive and the local supermarket does amazing fresh, high quality food, we certainly did that a few nights 😊. Also if you're going on any coach trips to a high mountain peak, don't buy your cable car tickets on the coach unless you've checked it's clear weather at the top before you get there as it might be in cloud! There's always other activities nearby with great scenery around those locations. We loved Zurich and the apartment, we would thoroughly recommend it and we would certainly stay there again.
