"I’ve always loved hotels even as a kid so sometimes I’ll get a room for the weekend just to do something different and I love Samstown. I gamble a little bit but I mostly go for the atmosphere, the rooms (big bath tub)), and I love that they have a nice swimming pool that’s usually really laid back also the hot tub is like the size of a small pool. "

"We were in town for a funeral. Check in was at 1:00 pm and the funeral was at 2:00. We got to the hotel at 12:45 and the reception was extremely rude. She said the room wasn’t ready and we were early. I told her it was no problem, we knew we were a bit early and could wait until the 1:00 check in time. She said that they hadn’t even started cleaning our room and she was mumbling under her breath and be very ugly about it. I explained that we traveled five hours for this memorial service and just needed to change clothes and freshen up and then we would leave. She continued to mumble and say ugly things under her breath. After that we were very uncomfortable with the whole situation and didn’t feel good staying there. She said good and we all agreed to cancel our reservation. Never again!"

"The front desk manager got us weary travelers checked in quickly despite our very late arrival, The room was tidy and clean and the breakfast was on par for what you'd expect. The only detraction was the hotel sits next to an active rail line, so if you are bothered by trains, it might be an issue. Great stay for the price point."

"One elevator and it was shared by cleaning staff and guests, also very slow. Keyed rooms doors did not work well and had to have my keys redone both days of our stay. The staff were kind and helped each time. "

"This hotel is currently under renovation but that did not impact the room. The room was newly renovated and quite nice. The only Real issue was that we could hear..quite clearly, our neighbors on both sides. There was also gaps around the door which let you hear people walking in the hallway….not bad, just noticeable. The staff were friendly which was really nice after a long day! We did not eat anything from breakfast, but it looked nice snd area was clean. We would stay here again."
