「Room very old fashioned and had seen better days. Could do with refurbishing.」

The restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The location is fantastic with wonderful views of the beautiful Peak countryside.」

「Was disappointed as I booked with Expedia, expecting to be able to use the facilities at the hotel. On checking in, I enquired about the facilities and was informed that if I had booked directly with the hotel, I would have been able to use the pool and gym and get breakfast included. To use the gym and pool, I would have to pay extra.」

「The staff was great and it’s a beautiful venue, unfortunately there was no AC, food at breakfast ran out, the noise level from dogs, other guest and parties was intolerable. Lastly, the spa sauna was broken and the hot tub as well.」

「We were allocated a room for a disabled person even though neither of us are disabled or had requested it. However we did appreciate the wet room rather than a bath with shower over. But, and a big but for any traveller, there was nowhere in the bathroom to place toiletries, razors, toothbrushes, deodorant, hairbrushes etc etc. All the things that are needed within reach of the sink. We ended up dragging the chair in the shower to the sink in order to have our toilet bags close without them...

「Air conditioning would be extremely beneficial as we stayed during the hot weather. Also my husband is a coeliac and allergy advice on the breakfast menu would also have been helpful. Otherwise a superb break.」
