「nice place to stay just to sleep」

「Friendly staff and a clean room in a motel-like setting behind one of the few remaining Delaware Water Gap resorts. The original building is closed, so guests stay in the motel rooms behind it. The rooms could benefit from larger and softer towels and some better lighting throughout. The pool looked good though we didn't have time to use it. That being said this is a fine place to stay that is central to all that the Gap and Stroudsburg have to offer. We will likely stay here again.」

「We experienced a few disappointment's. The water pressure was great except it would not come out of the showerhead. The drain was clogged and let water out slowley.The refrigerator did not get cold, just a little cool. You need to climb stairs even when you take the elevator. Only three stairs but a challenge for my spouse. The breakfast was great. We have stayed there before and this was a little different. Must have been the room selection (241) We were told there were no rooms avaiable...

「We ended up not staying the night. There was no on site staff. The room was cold, you couldn’t adjust the temperature. The bathroom door didn’t close. The water was ice cold, even after running for 10 or so minutes, as the contact person told us to do. We booked the room with the hot tub, which wasn’t usable, so they put us in a room with a jacuzzi tub, not the same thing. Lastly there was a fitted sheet on the bed, but no top sheet under the comforter, which didn’t feel like luxury bedding as...

「Hotel was conveniently located by the Sherman Theater where we had tickets to a show. We were able to walk to & from & felt safe walking at night. Staff was very personable & accommodating. Breakfast had a variety of choices & coffee was always available. Room was clean & beds/pillows comfortable. Only negative was odor in room & hall that was heavily scented with air freshener. We would stay here again when in town for a show.」

「outdoor pool was not filled and unable to be used which that’s what we planned to do during the day. had to switch rooms on first night due to no ac. then got double charged somehow for my stay. the woman while checking in was friendly & helpful but not so much the male- when we switched rooms gave us cards that didn’t even work to new room.」

「Unfortunately, this was a terrible experience. Check in is done through a kiosk with no human present, just on video link. The machine takes credit cards, you sign the rental agreement on screen and it prints receipts and dispenses the room card key. The room was clean but the smell in the room was of old cigarettes and what ever noxious chemicals they use as air freshener. there was an immediate physical reaction to this atmosphere that made it impossible for staying there. 「We really enjoyed our stay at the Pocono Inn Resort, our room was spacious and clean. It also provided plenty of towels and toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion). The beds were also pretty comfortable and the bedding was very nice. Eugene at the front desk was awesome, he was super friendly and we spent quite a bit of time talking with him about the Inn and the local area. He was such a pleasure all weekend.
