Paradise Cabin at Pardise in the Woods overlooking the Buckhannon River

3/4 mile long driveway to your own haven in the woods. Cabin has game room with pool table overlooking the beautiful Buckhannon River, surrounded by forest. Walking path to a peaceful and secluded swimming area (there are 2 swimming areas to accommodate 2 cabins on property.) There are fire pits at the cabin and by the river so you can build a fire and roast smores with your crew. Swim, fish, kayak, raft, hike or just relax on the front deck or by the fire and watch the wildlife.

Sleeps up to 12, master has king bed with baby crib, sleeping nook has twin bunk beds, 2nd bedroom has queen bed and two twin beds, 3rd bedroom has queen bed and daybed with trundle.

The kitchen has all the appliances and utensils you would have in the comfort of your home. Coffee maker, blender, food processer, crock pot, steamer pot, toaster, electric can opener, dishwasher, gas range, microwave, refrigerator freezer with ice maker, etc.

Gameroom with pool table and Pacman machine.

Please be aware that the driveway is long and steep in a couple places and is a bit rugged. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended but not necessary. Keep in mind that low sitting cars may drag going in and out the drive. (4-wheel drive is necessary in the winter time due to snow)

We are pet friendly (dogs only, fee required). Must clean up after your pet inside and out. Excessive pet hair on furniture or pet excrement (especially inside) may result in forfeiture of all or part of security deposit.

-NO food, drink, persons or animals allowed on pool table.

-For security purposes, there is a video surveillance camera overlooking the driveway and parking area.

Family vacation

This was such a beautiful cabin and very beautiful and peaceful and secluded with the river flowing the gorgeous mountains views. We loved everything about it can’t wait to go back.

Very remote, gorgeous property. I love the swing on the porch and the views from the deck. The cabin was insanely clean- like spotless. My kids loved the video game machine and the outdoor playhouse. We enjoyed walking up to the river access as well. The only thing that all six of us hated was the staircase, but I did appreciate the baby gate that was around the bottom. The host was incredibly friendly and a super communicator.

A Wonderful Place for A Family Vacation

Interesting property very unique

We went with friends and had kids all under the age of 8. We all enjoyed it and plan on making this a yearly visit. The views were amazing. The river was clean and kids loved playing in. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. I would love to own this property one day!!!

Lovely cabin

My family had an amazing time at the cabin, it was nice, warm, and cozy !. Our kids ranges from 2-16 years old had so much fun, there were plenty of things to do. We will be back again!

Family trip

Amazing cabin! The view was beautiful! The swimming spot was further down from the cabin than we thought but still not to far. We had an amazing weekend of fun and lots of memories were made.

Family Thanksgiving Vacation

Wow! That's what I think we all said upon arriving! It is exactly what what we were looking for, so serene and secluded. The home was exactly as advertised and very clean and comfortable. We decided to start a new Thanksgiving tradition and I believe teenagers and adults alike can't wait until next year to come back to your home! Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was amazing, had great amenities, and had access to classic creek swimming. Host was very accommodating and answered all of our questions very quickly. Driveway caused our car to bottom out twice, would recommend not taking cars with less than normal ground clearance, only reason the stay was not perfect was the driveway, which was only a minor negative to an other-wise perfect cabin get away!

Peace and quiet

We had a very nice stay at the cabin. It has plenty of room and was comfortable. I would recommend this property for people wanting a peaceful and quiet getaway. Views and sounds from the deck were amazing. The road into the property was narrow and bumpy, but we managed with our SUV. The photos are accurate for what to expect. Quick response to our concerns by the host. Overall very nice.

Remote

It was exactly what I was looking for. Remote, quiet, away from the hustle & bustle. We had the property to ourselves. No nearby neighbors. It was enjoyable waking up in the chilly mornings listening to the river below & looking out at the mountains above. Our pup loved swimming in the river & exploring the property. It is very remote. Far away from activities. Expect an hour drive or so. Overall we enjoyed our stay & would love to come back in the summer with the whole family.

Lovely stay!

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. We loved the privacy and peacefulness of the property. The cabin itself is incredibly spacious and comfortable for large groups. Having the river so close was one of our favorite parts! Despite the weather raining us out for a few days, we still enjoyed every minute. The beds were comfortable and having a fan in every room really made a huge difference on the 90 degree days! The kitchen was also fully stocked with all the appliances and utensils we needed, everything in perfect working order. The wifi was perfect for streaming music while outside at the fire pit or on the porch. Check in and check out was a breeze, Cheryl is very helpful and responds swiftly. We would definitely stay here again!

Truly Paradise!

Paradise cabin at Paradise in the Woods definitely fits the name. We truly felt like we were in paradise! From the amazing views, the sound of the flowing river, and the abundance of wildlife, you will not be disappointed. We saw deer, an otter, and even a groundhog. We all enjoyed swimming in the river (especially our teenagers and dogs), fishing, playing pool, daily walks and fires in the fire pit, and just relaxing. The house was extremely clean, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and I loved that the oven was a gas stove/oven. We did briefly lose power during our stay due to a storm, but Cheryl (the owner) immediately showed up with a generator for us to use until the power came back on. We would definitely stay here again. If it’s available, don’t think twice. Just book it!

Relaxing getaway.
