"Would stay here again to start off. We actually live in an 18th century colonial in New England, so we felt right at home. I think maybe some of the reviews we read were not used to such an old historic home. It's not going to look like the Marriott. The narrow stairways, the wide board floors that are uneven, the horsehair plaster underneath centuries of paint... Love it all. I honestly did not think two window air conditioners would cool the whole first floor, because I like my house very cool. Did the job even on 90 humid days. Upstairs as well had adequate cooling. I was sure from the reviews this probably would be updated but it was not- You need some blinds in the bunk bed room! If you don't want to wake up with the sunrise at 5:00 a.m., better bring some thumb tacks and blankets to put over them. The queen bedroom off of it does not have an air conditioner, it utilizes the window air conditioner from the bunk bed room. This was not a problem for us, because my grandson was in the bunk bed room so no big deal. But if you want privacy in the bunk bed room and close that door, you're going to be too warm in the queen bedroom. The place to park is short and narrow; No way was my f250 crew cab going to park there so I parked on the street, but that was not a problem. Also, the backyard might have been nice to hang out in, but had an inadequate spring cleaning from fall leaves and whatnot. Still highly recommend! Host was prompt to respond to needs."

"Our host was great, and the property, while over 200 years old, was in good repair and just about everything worked well. We had a large group and there were plenty of places to hang out as a group or just a couple people. The view was fantastic and the whole week was super relaxing. We would definitely return here."

"Perfect location. Super easy walk to both Front and Back Beaches. Front Beach wasn’t too crowded and my kids loved the swim platform off the shore. Nice to have bathrooms there too! Quick walk to shops and restaurants. The property was very clean and welcoming, with friendly neighbors too. Kitchen was fairly well-equipped, but I realize I’m in the minority with cooking meals at home while on vacation! We really had a great week and would highly recommend this spot."

"This beach house was everything we were looking for. We had a great family vacation second year in a row at one of Rachel’s great properties in Rockport.The house was perfectly clean, cool, and well equipped for cooking and grilling and enjoying the beautiful outdoor area. The hot tub was a fun bonus and the best surprise was the outdoor shower which made getting home from the beach trips with little kids breezy.We walked to the beach and Bearskin Neck easily each day.The host is on top of every detail and puts a lot of care into everything. We look forward to staying again! Thank you!"
