Gorgeous condo with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and private atrium. Completely remodeled in 2025/26, and recently featured during Modernism Week, the condo will accommodate up to six guests comfortably in the 2,500 square feet of living space, making it ideal for a family or a group of friends looking for an amazing desert experience.

You'll feel right at home the moment you step inside the condo's beautiful interior, boasting mid-century furnishings, private atrium with built-in barbeque, fire pit, TV, dining area and in-ground hot tub for relaxing with views of the mountains.

The welcoming condo has everything you'll need for an enjoyable stay, including WiFi, central heating/AC, W/D, four smart TVs, and fully stocked kitchen - sure to satisfy all of your relaxation and entertainment needs during your vacation!

Our family just spent one week in Steve's very special and unique Sandpiper home. The unit and its furnishings are beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The appliances are brand new. The unit, which is very private and opens onto a spectacular patio, is located within walking distance (10 minutes) of beautiful El Paseo, Whole Foods, Worlds Gym, Westfield Shopping Mall and the best restaurants in Palm Desert. From the unit, we easily and quickly reached on foot the trailheads for numerous beautiful desert trails. Despite its proximity to El Paseo and Highway 74, the unit was very quiet. Steve was helpful and easy to deal with. Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay in Palm Desert and we highly recommend it.

Wonderful Spot

We had a wonderful stay. Prior to arrival, the host called to go over instructions and provide updates as needed. The host was so kind and communicative, which was greatly appreciated. The house was exactly as pictured and extremely clean upon arrival. The condo complex was beautiful and the residents were kind and respectful.

Quiet, spacious and easy living unit

We had a wonderful stay in this very quiet and fully equipped home that is located less than a 10 minute walk to downtown on El Paseo. Communication with the owners was prompt and helpful, the property was clean, open & airy. The second guest room actually has a king bed, we expected a queen, so we were pleasantly surprised. The kitchen is well equipped and offers spices, olive oil, etc. It was a breeze to step outside the slider in the living room and a few steps later we were at the pool. The back patio is relaxing with a dining table, couch for watching the outdoor tv, lounge chairs as well as a magnificent hot tub with waterfall. We were sad to leave and look forward to returning as soon as we can.

Great Stay in Palm Desert

We met friends in this wonderful mid century property in Palm Desert. We were contacted bySteve Reich the week prior to our stay and he was very easy to work with. The unit was convenient to shopping and various restaurants.A small update on some of the window coverings would be nice.

Perfect location in Palm Desert

This unit is very nicely furnished, bed is very comfortable, kitchen is well appointed. The location of the Sandpiper complex cannot be beat as you can walk to so many of the best restaurants and shops on El Paseo. Sandpiper Stay Was Outstanding

The Sandpiper complex is unique and historic. Each 'circle' has a collection of about 16 Mid-Century Modern condominiums surrounding a swimming pool. The grounds are beautifully maintained and there is a nice amount of separation from other neighbors. It's a very relaxing environment. Our condominium was very large (3 bedrooms/2 baths) and offered a large internal patio area where we could have breakfast and dinners. The front room area had large windows that offered sunlight and great views of the grounds ... we could easily have 6 adults together sitting together in the sectional and chairs. The bedrooms were large and offered privacy at night. The kitchen was very well appointed with pots, pans, utensils, coffee maker, glassware, dishes, new microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. One real plus over most rentals we have done over the years was that this unit was well stocked with paper goods, cleaners, towels, and basic supplies (spices, ice-maker, etc.). The owner was wonderful to work with (very responsive if you had a question) and has plans to continue to upgrade the condo over the next year. We have been coming to Palm Springs several times a year for the last dozen years and this location is perfect. You are within walking distance of El Paseo Drive (shops and restaurants) and being in Palm Desert is a great 'mid-point' for the entire valley ... you're equal distance to Palm Springs/airport as you are to Indio/LaQuinta. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Having stayed at Sandpiper before, I was somewhat disappointed with the cleanliness (furniture, floors, carpet) and lack of repair (upkeep) to some of the areas (i.e., small bathroom shower-floor cracks, overhead inset light burnt out, etc.). That being said, the location is excellent and this unit provides lots of room to relax & enjoy yourself. With some minor repairs and cleaning, this unit would be fantastic.

Sandpiper heaven

Great location and beautiful grounds. Not the place if you are looking for new as it is as described, historic. Well stocked kitchen probably the best we have ever rented. Good communication with owner.
