"Blue Cow is located 12 min from Cottonwood, and approximately 25 min from Sedona. Don’t let that scare you. Cottonwood is a quaint little town with excellent restaurants (not a shopper but plenty of boutique shops) and Sedona is ultra touristy. We’ve stayed in Sedona and while convenient to excellent hiking, the food scene is, well, like any other tourist destination. Blue Cow is a GEM!!! First, the place is clean as a pin, the decor impeccable and the owners engaged and authentic. The place is lovely! The people? Just say you wish you could take them with you! The view from your back porch are peaceful and serene. Sunsets, incredible. The quiet is welcoming. As stated, we’ve stayed in Sedona, but will always stay at the Blue Cow going forward. "

"Staff was great, room was not the best housekeeping. Bring slippers or booties. On site restaurant was delicious but expensive. Needed a lot of minor upgrades, you can tell the place has some years on it but overall acceptable (except for the floors)"

"The kitchen was very well equipped, The house actually could handle more than 6 people as there is a cot and foldout sleeper chair. Plenty of bath linens pillows, blankets etc.The back yard is delightful - shaded patio with table and chairs, grill, shade trees. Nice landscaping in front. Wonderful birds in the yard in the morning - including a family of quails that paraded on the concrete rear wall. Great deco inside. Can't say enough good things about this property. The location was great for us - we didn't want to be too close to uptown Sedona. We were close to many trails and the Safeway grocery store. "
