We only spent one night but from the moment we got there we could see the owners paid attention to ensuring all the conveniences of a home were available. the area is not completely remote which was a bit of a surprise but not unwelcome as the neighbours all were friendly and added to the holiday vibe. 「Our party of 2 thoroughly enjoyed the well-kept accommodations and premises of the Elkai Suite. The rooms and bathroom were spotless and the attention to detail was impressive. The campfire area with Adirondack chairs were a nice plus while we enjoyed some cozy campfire evenings. 「This is one of the better places to stay in Packwood. Watch the summit of Mt Rainier glow at sunrise. Private, quiet, very (VERY) clean. All you need is there if you want to cook your meals. Friendly hosts.」

「This A-frame is an adorable older cabin updated with some great features. The kitchen is stocked with just about any tool or item needed to whip up a great meal. We stayed during summer and kept cool with the AC units upstairs and down plus several portable fans. A great place to stay if you’re planning to visit the south side of Mt Rainier.」

「Look for a rust red color house, not blue. That confused us as to whether or not we were at the right place. The keypad is on the deck door. The outdoor furniture needs some updating - table, chairs, and hottub needs some minor fixes like the cover has tears and the headrest on one spot is missing the other falls off. Nothing that would hinder you from using it. There are a lot of little bugs in the house, but you are in the woods. The main floor shower is small for average size people, so...
