"Great little guesthouse in Otaru. Easy 20 minute flat walk from Otaru station, or a 10 minute walk up a slight hill from Miniami Otaru. Supermarket, convenience stores, and public bathhouse all within 10 minute walk from the hostel. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Bunk bed was comfortable and spacious. Toilet was a little small and ceiling was quite low in some places, but nothing far from the norm of a traditional Japanese household. Would definitely stay again."

"Location is amazing, right across the street from the canal. Easy walking distance to many restaurants. Rooms are slightly worn out, but very clean. Curtains can be thicker, the room was very bright by 5am. Hot spring is very good."

"Just next to the canal and the brewery is a plus, but it’s a little far from the Sakaimachi shopping street. Rooms are normal but clean, hotel staff is friendly. Carpark is a little unexpected, using a parking conveyor lift but staff are on hand to guide you through the process "
