"i stayed in this cabin to enjoy hiking in the gorge. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities needed for the term of my stay. Checking in and out was very convenient. Communication with the host was very accommodating. It was a bit of a drive each day to and from my hiking destinations but i would not necessarily allow that to hinder my decision to return to this cabin in the future."

"The property was nestled in a nice wooded area, super cute inside and out, very quiet in a quaint little town. It's a lovely time to book a stay for the fall. We enjoyed the stay!"

"Place was nice and quiet. The view of the lake was blocked partially by trees, but you could still get good views if you walked down to the lake or were at the restaurant. The internet was good. Had no cell phone reception. Staff was nice and helpful. Rooms were clean. My only complaint beside cell phone reception is the "continental breakfast". The breakfast was literally only, coffee, juice, cereal, toast, packaged muffins, packaged waffles, packaged sausage biscuits. I was expecting a buffet. I'm guessing there was no buffet because it was after labor day, but it was disappointing because the restaurant wasn't even open for breakfast either and you are not close to any other food places."

"This place was clean and very comfortable with some of the softest towels and best beds you could ask for. The interior was beautiful and the check-in process was flawless. If you are by some chance ever staying in this area I highly recommend this place."

"The cabin was nice and cozy. Having bed linens, towels and wash clothes provided was very nice. Beds and pillows were nice. Hot tub was wonderful! Large well taken care of yard with fire pit and grill. The cabin was clean but there were some areas that needed some attention. Distances in miles to the popular hikes and activities are accurately listed, however it’s slow going on the back country roads. Travel time to most everything was around 40-45 minutes. Overall, this was a nice place to stay and we would stay here again."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Crooked Cabin! If you're looking to truly disconnect, this is the ultimate romantic woodland escape. The cabin itself feels straight out of a fairytale, with its unique crooked windows, handmade details, and secluded 25 private wooded acres.Spending our evenings soaking under the stars in the private wood-fired hot tub and relaxing by the fire was exactly the recharge we needed before heading back to reality. It's close enough to enjoy everything the Red River Gorge area has to offer, yet secluded enough that you feel completely tucked away in your own private world.Dennis was a fantastic host — hospitable, attentive, and clearly thought of everything. We loved the charming storybook details woven throughout the property. Highly recommend to anyone needing a peaceful, unique getaway!"

The host and owner were both extremely responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. Everything was just as described, and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again!"
