"My friends and spent 10 nights in Iceland and this was honestly the only unpleasant stay. The bathroom was not clean — there was visibly hair from previous guests on the wall in the shower. The dining table and kitchen countertops also had to be wiped down. The host was also unkind to deal with, with was disappointing. Though the view is beautiful and the beds were fine, it was overall not an accommodation I’d recommend."

"Breakfast was good. Staff were helpful & polite. The room was TINY - nowhere to put suitcases. We were tripping over them on the floor all night. It was very shabby - paint chipped, baseboard missing, front window was stuck closed. Bathroom window did not shut tight and the wind howled through it all night long. We paid way too much money for what we got. BTW - the horses are part of the stable next door not owned by the guesthouse. I was told “sometimes they come near the property - but they bite.” They were so far out in the fields that you could barely see them."

"Staff were friendly and facilities sufficient. Very eclectic atmosphere and could do we a facelift in my opinion. Room and bathroom were clean but small. Felt that it was very expensive for what it was and there were additional charges for everything. Even a cup of coffee is chargeable."

"The room was comfortable, clean and the property has amazing views. We had our own bathroom, which is rare with these budget hostels in Iceland. So that was a big plus. HOWEVER, our twin beds were pushed together, with shared bed-sheets, so we didn't have the option to separate the beds. The staff never responded to any of our messages (asking for another set of bed-sheets). The kitchen had a coffee machine, but no coffee, which was a surprise (all other hostels had some basic tea and coffee available)."
