Pet Friendly Suite

3 story pastel orange beach house with white trim. 1.4 mile walk to the lifeguarded beach. This 1st floor suite has a private kitchenette (NO STOVE), bathroom, and extra bedroom all located within the unit. Great for a family of 4 or two couples looking to get away. Pet friendly for well-behaved dogs up to 50lbs (limit 2)

**The listed rate covers up to 2 guests. Additional guests will be an additional $50 per night, per guest.

Pet fee is $50 per stay for well-behaved dogs not more than 50lbs (limit 2). **If pets are not marked and paid for at the point of booking, we reserve the right to cancel the booking at the point of check in without refund. (All guests are met in person for check in.) Pets are not to be left unattended for long periods of time and must not disturb other guests while staying with us. Excessive barking or whining will not be tolerated.

The private ramp entrance is located on the left side of the house leading to a studio which is spacious and comfortable with a kitchenette, smart TV, seating area and dining table. Down a private hallway is the private full bath with spacious shower, clothes closet, and extra queen bedroom. There is another entrance from the common room at the front of the house. Both have keypad entry with the same code.

Accommodations offer a hair dryer, Smart television and starter rolls of toilet paper and paper towels. Kitchenette includes apartment size refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, cookware/dishes/utensils, and a standard 12 cup coffee maker (filters provided)

No smoking of any kind (no vapes, no e-cigs). Any evidence of smoking in the suite will incur a cleaning fee of $350. If you must smoke, please do so outside and away from other guests. Dispose of cigarettes properly (do not throw in the yard).

** Parking is a premium on Ocracoke and we only have 1 space available per suite. Please, no trailers or very large vehicles. ** Let us know if you will bring/rent a golf cart while you are staying with us.

Bicycles, golf carts and other 4x4 vehicles available for rent on the island. (Lots of options for rentals)

Ocracoke Beach Outfitters has beach gear, baby items, bicycles and other items for rent if you forget something for your stay. They are within walking distance of the house.

The house sits in the middle of our little island 30 miles off the mainland accessible only by ferry boat or airplane.

There are 3 ferry lines that service this island. Cedar Island, Swan Quarter and Hatteras. Cedar Island and Swan Quarter vehicle ferries require reservations and a small fee (see the NC Ferry Reservations website to reserve your date and time). The Hatteras vehicle ferry is free and first-come, first-serve. You may have to wait in line at Hatteras. The schedule for all ferries and reservations for Cedar Island and Swan Quarter are on the NC Ferry website (ferry.ncdot.gov)

No franchises are allowed on island so all the fish markets and restaurants are locally owed as are most all the businesses, family owned and operated. Restaurants get their fresh seafood directly from the local fishermen daily.
There are various festivals and special events throughout the season. Check out the Ocracoke Observer community newspaper website (ocracokeobserver.com) or Facebook page for up to date information on restaurant openings/closings and special events. This house sits within walking distance to it all.

You must text when you get on your ferry to establish an estimated arrival time for check in. ** NO CHECK INS AFTER 7:30PM WITHOUT SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS **

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a family friendly space with house rules and quiet hours posted in the rental agreement that you MUST read prior to booking. It's not a loud party house and OWNER reserves the right to cancel the booking (removing the guests), with or without refund, of any guests who do not abide by these house rules or demonstrate a lack of care towards the property or others while here.

Clean, Convenient, and Spacious
This unit is part of a large house divided into many units. The place was spotless and equipped for all that we needed and more. The bed was comfortable and the window A/C units keep the place comfortable. It is located down a back street in a residential neighborhood, very close to places to eat. From this place, we were able to ride our bikes to the town, lighthouse, and to the Cedar Island Ferry terminal area. The only issue, potentially for some, is that there is no sound proofing between your unit and the one next to you, so you could hear their conversation. If you close the living room door, it does help though. Fortunately, all people staying were relatively quiet and kept the same hours as we did. Overall, it was an excellent stay and we would return without hesitation.

The property was super clean and the property manager was super responsive. First night was great. Super quiet tenants above us. Second night not so much. The tenant above us was super loud all night. However, that is not on the property manager. Just inconsiderate tenants. Overall, we really liked this property and would recommend it to others.

Had a good time staying here. Easy check in/out. Host communication was right on. We came to fish for four days. Great place to stay for this. Not a lot of traffic on the road where located. Walking distance to most restaurants and the brewery. Clear and easy directions for guests responsibilities when checking out.

The place was in a convenient location, pretty much within walking distance of most things. Amenities were basic. Bring your own sheets, towels, toiletries, and blankets. Nothing fancy, but served the purpose. It was pretty spacious and parking was easy. Clean and easy to get in and out of. Hostess was easy to work with, but we really didn't have anything that needed attention.

Stay during Tropical Storm
Although we were on the island during recent Tropical Storm we enjoyed our stay. We felt safe and secure in home. Property was very clean. Host was very quick to respond. Marie met us at check-in showed us entire area, gave us information and answered all our questions. Would highly recommend.

Owners were the best.
There were a few things that were not accurate about the listing. The new owners had just taken over so I don’t blame them, but I feel like any where you would rent for a vacation should have the things that they are advertising they have. There was no hair dryer and there were no linens but both were listed. The previous owner had mentioned to me that I may want to bring my own linens, so I did. He also said 2 queen beds but the bed in the bedroom was a full not a queen so the linens didn’t fit. I truly do not blame the new owners but I feel like they should relist the property correctly. They were very nice and I’m sure things will improve with them owning this property.
