"Wonderful hidden gem"

"The staff (owner?) was friendly and spoke to us in English. They had a place ready for our luggage before check in so we could go to the Snow Monkey Park first. We enjoyed our traditional stay. The hot spring is very hot! I only stayed in for two minutes."

"The staff is incredible! The owner, Chris, is so inviting and welcoming as is the rest of the staff. There is a shuttle you can book to take you to the mountains, dinners, train station. The restaurant in the hotel is so good though as well. The rooms are very clean and they offer robes and sandals for the baths / showers. "

"Amenities, food and staff are amazing"

"I was surprised why this hotel does not have cuurent reviews and then I found that the majority of customers are local. Only one Chinese staff, Kon, can communicate in English but every staff is very nice and attentive once you figure out the rules. Public onsen fa ility is standard and efficient. Spacious toom must be at least 300 sq.ft. for 2 of us. Hot Water and temperature are centrally controlled. But if you are after hours you should go to public bath to take a shower. Laundry is inside...
