A very peaceful stay near the shrine in Fujinomiya. It was nice to have a genuine tatami room sleep. If you are a big party this could be a really great place to book all rooms. If you have accessible needs, I will say there are a number of non-uniform stair cases, unexpected changes and dropoffs throughout, but in my opinion this is to be expected in an old building like this. Amazing modern ryokan with private open air onsen on balcony! Spectacular views of the mountains all the way to the ocean! Great service from friendly and accommodating staff serving in room meals! Large public bath in basement with sauna and free massage chairs!

Everything about our stay was perfect and wished we stayed more than one night. The food was great and truly enjoyed the experience. The open-air hot spring bath was heavenly. They picked us up from the station by the open air museum and dropped us off at Gora station in the morning. I went as a girls’ getaway, but definitely perfect for couples!

This was a lovely place to spend a short scuba diving vacation on the Izu Peninsula. The ocean views from my room were fantastic. The room was spacious and comfortable.

It was AMAZING! My friend and I stayed for one night and it was the highlight of our entire trip in Japan. The food was incredible, the staff were extremely nice and helpful and attentive. And of course the onsens were immaculate. Everything was top tier, would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a classic Japanese experience but with modern comforts and breathtaking views!!

Great place to go and chill, make sure your room has an outdoor soaking tub. This was my 2nd time staying here after I adopted the woman who runs the hotel and the shop as my Japan oba last year, I remembered she loves hydrangeas so I stopped in Kamakura at Hasedera to get her a gift before seeing her because her birthday is in June. Best budget place for anyone who loves outdoors and minimalism.

Oceanview , friendly staff ,clean room, easy to park with the car. Rooftop hot spring is very nice.

The private Onsen was a really relaxing experience. The place is quiet and far from stores but have shared kitchen. Go to the conbini before check-in

The futon’s aren’t very thick so it can be a bit uncomfortable if you’re a side sleeper. Other than that our stay was great. The owner, Yudai, is incredible and has an excellent sense of hospitality. When I come to Hakone again this place will be at the top of my list.

Rooms are very clean. Amenities are adequate. Above all the place is in an environment where ait quality is superb and hot springs are everywhere! Mt. Fuji is about 50 kilometers away and you can see it from a couple of train ride stops away whether permitting.
