"The grounds and castle are beautiful. We wanted to stay in a castle so I made this reservation, however, when we checked in we were put into one of their lodge rooms so we were somewhat disappointed. The water was off in our room because maintenance wasn’t expecting anyone to stay there (they did come quickly to remedy the situation).The carpeting on the stairs to our room are in need of a good cleaning and we’re loose in some laces. "Beautiful facility - we stayed in the lodge which some spots needed repair work. Not walkable or really close to town or train - need a car, as local taxis took a while to come. No shuttle available. Restaurant is excellent, breakfast was good. We are going back - will have a car next time. "

Only other slight disappointment was only small amounts of fruit at breakfast. Everything else was lovely including staff and general upkeep of hotel itself. Thank you for a great stay"
