We actually stayed in the upper level. We absolutely loved the house, it is a very old house it had so much character in history.( This house was the third house built at the location on the ocean front in 1946 or 1947) Also it had tons of room for our big family to enjoy it. The ocean was right outside across the dunes so we were able to enjoy watching and hearing it from the porch as well going straight down to it. We got to meet the neighbors that had built there house in 1954We will definitely be staying here again if possible in the future

property was not clean

We cleaned when the dog came out from chasing his ball from under the couch with a wad of hair and who knows what. Also found under the couch was potato chips, not just crumbs, but who chips as well. thick gooey dust on the air conditioners, the floors and couches were gritty. We washed everything in the kitchen before using it.

We loved it

Location was great. Easy to check in and place was clean. Next time we come to Myrtle we very well may stay at the exact same place.

Myrtle beach

The location was great Ocean view /short walk to ocean The rental is dated,window ac unit in kitchen doesn't cool, The place wasn't very clean,floors dirty, throw rugs had pet urine on them Notified the management team, they removed them A picture fell off the wall in the middle of the night, hit my son in the head(he wasn't hurt,thank goodness) We enjoyed our time there

Family vacation

We really loved this property. There was plenty of room for all 9 members of our family and we enjoyed mornings and evenings on the screened in porch for eating, laughing and creating memories.

Renter Beware. Old and smelly

This home is in a good location. Public beach access right next to the house. No central air. The window units barely worked and are filthy. As soon as we walked in the odors hit like a fog. Each room smelled old and moldy. There are water stains on the ceiling and carpets. The carpet leaves your feet dirty. The refrigerator barely cools. The main hall bathroom has a fishy smell. The water pressure in the showers is very weak. If you bring a dog don’t walk it in the yard due to burs getting stuck in their paws. If you have upstairs neighbors while you are there you will hear and even see them. The ceiling fan moves when people walk around. Never again will we stay here. RENTERS BEWARE!!!!!!!

Best Beach House

We had a blast. Home is dated but fully functional. Kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need. Bedrooms are large. Steps from the beach. That porch. Best place to start your day and end your day. Location is convenient to grocery and restaurants. We loved this home

Great family getaway

The location was awesome with our own walkway to the beach. Minutes from anything and everything in Myrtle Beach. The house was comfy and perfect for a family with a dog. We would definitely stay there again.

Clean and Convenient

We enjoyed the convenience of the property. Everything was very clean. The beds were decent. There are many restaurants and shops close by/walking distance. Great for kids and pets! I would recommend some updates of the doors and carpets. Some of the A/C units do not get super cold, but I would stay here again. There were plenty of towels and extra pillows.

Steps from the beach

Perfect location and this time of year it was calm and peaceful. Perfect for my elderly dog who doesn’t do steps well. We loved it and will definitely be back again. My only warning would be to pet owners, don’t let your dog walk on the lawn, it was full of briars which were painful and difficult to remove from my pets paws

Perfect Stay on the Beach

This place was awesome. It could definitely use some upgrades, but for location being right on the beach and allowing us to have pets, it was perfect for our family!

Pet friendly and Oceanfront

The house was in a great location for all we wanted to do on our mini vacation. We decided last minute to take a short vacation to the beach. We were very pleased the house allowed us to bring our dog, it was clean and allowed us plenty of room. All the amenities met our needs on this trip. The house was all the description stated. It was certainly an older house but was clean and that was important to us and a quick walk to the beach!

Great location

Can’t beat the location and access to the beach out the back door. It had everything we needed. Was just a little outdated and few things that could be fixed or updated. Would stay again.

Great Location, apartment needs serious update and cleaning

The location is Great! Duplex in between couple bigger condominiums. That is the best from this unit. Listing doesn’t tell you it’s a duplex, I red it from a different review, so you may get decent neighbors. First thing I found was an underwear behind a furniture when I was going to charge my phone! Then checked all bedrooms, it’s was obvios the cleaning crew do a very poor job. There was garbage between the bed and the wall, small pieces of chips and crap behind most furniture and beds. Very disappointed, called the office immediately to report it, they gave me $128 dls back, I would prefer finding a cleaning place, I spent couple hour cleaning and disinfecting. The major issue is that place needs a huge update. The whole place has carpet! Very old and you can see it’s not clean. The carpet from the living room stinks sooo bad like feet. The living room sofa is so dirty, we had to put over sheets to seat down. It was our first time and we didn’t know there are ‘beach cockroaches’ (we were told), the office said will send a crew to spray, they never show up. We found some small cockroaches in the kitchen...... we had to put away all our food at night. The whole apartment has small window AC in each room, the upper apartment has central air. If you sleep in the maim bedroom be ready to wake up when the upper AC start up because it literally shakes the whole bedroom. I was very disappointed with this rental. It will be a great unit if it’s remodel completely because the location is absolutely great.

Review

The location and having the beach as a backyard were awesome ! When booking it though it does not say it is a duplex. We had people upstairs who were loud in the middle of the night and affected the quality of our stay. Additionally, the screen for the screened in porch had been damaged by a storm the night before our arrival and we were told it would be repaired the next day. It was not repaired which led to dealing with bugs when on the porch. Overall it is a nice place, outdated, but in a marvelous location and I rate it 3.5 stars.
