Here is "just" a little more additional info based off of recent reviews we have received:
The property and each unit is Professionally sprayed once a month by an exterminator, you will see palmettos because they come in on people, beach chairs, towels and anything/anyone who has come from outside. The answer to “why am I seeing these pests” is they reside in palm trees and find their way into the building by riding in on people and beach stuff. I call them our unofficial mascot of our beach town ;)
Maintenance Dept. is available from 10AM-5PM and I will provide you their number with a list of Emergency after hour vs non Emergency scenarios.
Quiet hours at Catalina (pool closes at 10 p.m.) noise in building should not be heard outside of your unit after 11 p.m. Please shower or hose off you and your crew after leaving the beach and before jumping in the pool. We do have it cleaned everyday (we do this around day break to avoid you having to see it) :) Showering off and getting all the sand off your suits helps a lot more than you think :)
We do have our thermostats set and locked. However if you are too cold or too hot you can text maintenance :) between 10AM-5PM to have them come look at it. We ask to keep all windows and doors closed because if left open the HVAC shuts off all together.
I will keep adding useful bits of info as I get them to pass on to you our potential guest. Hope to SEA y'all down here soon! Monroe

It was a great location. Ample of space for 2-3 families to get together. Wish there were basic things provided. Kitchen rolls & hand wash. Park was very convenient.
The property is a little “unassuming” when you pull up to it. BUT, when I stepped into the residence, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s about 200 yards from the beach. Inside, there is a room with a king bed, a room with 3 queens, a room with 2 sets of bunk beds (with a queen on the bottom), another room with 2 sets of twin bunk beds, two twins near the entrance and two pullouts in the living room. Full kitchen, POOL TABLE, tv, 3 balconies and 3 bathrooms. There were 10 adults and we were comfortable there. We could walk to restaurants, clubs, stores, etc. it was awesome. Would definitely stay there again.
We had a fantastic family vacation at the condo! It was clean, comfortable, and perfectly priced. We especially loved the proximity to the beach. The kids had a blast, we can't wait to return!
Close to everything, walking distance to beach, shops, and Walmart. The stairs were a lot for the older folks so having the 2 extra beds downstairs was a lot of help.
Pool needs a little cleaning. Keep in mind the stairs if your staying in the upper floors. Great place though for big families and friends. Had a great time vacationing.
We planned our trip on short notice so I reached out to property manager and he was able to accommodate our request. The location was excellent for what we were looking for. The check in was super simple we received all of our information promptly and the communication was very responsive all the time.
This is one of the few places in North Myrtle Beach that hosted seniors for Senior Week. They did haven an ambassador on the site which made us moms back home feel very good. The room was well stocked and clean. These guys did a great job! Would rent again!
Very close to the beach, big house, plenty of beds. Good size kitchen, no kitchen table, but several places to sit. We were able to have a nice trip with 16+ family members. Other guest in building were very loud but I was warned ahead of time about the high-school kids staying the same nights.
me and the family enjoyed the stay only negative was the AC temp was too cold even after they turned up the thermostat and you dont have control to change from the property

Need better cleaning
Perfect location, good size for big groups, my only concern is that the floor wasn’t clean and everything was dusty for how much they charge for cleaning, it need bigger pots since you received big groups.
Overall, it was a good experience. My family and I (6 adults, 1 teen, 2 children, and 1 toddler) had a short beach vacation and stayed at the Catalina. We had more than enough room with beds to spare! It’s close to the beach and next to great shops & live entertainment. The property is pretty old so it could use some updates, but everything works great. We weren’t prepared for the walls to be so thin- we had two very loud groups in the units near us and sleeping at night was a challenge. The pool was pretty dirty, which could be the result of the neighbors. Great price for the location and proximity to the beach…just beware of loud neighbors and thin walls.
We liked the location and the size of the condo. The refrigerator needs fixed or replaced. It leaked on the floor and didn’t make ice. It rained and the water came in under the front door. We had towels on the floor so rain wouldn’t get our things wet. There should probably be some toilet paper in a bathroom when you arrive in case of emergency.
We did enjoy our stay here, those were just some suggestions we had. The pool table was fun, it was close to the beach and bars. Overall we had a good time.

Not Good Internet Service and Television
I had to use my Hot Spot on my Mobile Phone the entire stay and run my phone bill up cause the Wi-Fi service was no good at all. I told the property manager about it twice but it didn’t help at all! I wouldn’t stay there again! We couldn’t connect to anything period without connecting my mobile hotspot
We enjoyed this property. It was large enough for our extended family. It was in the center of North Myrtle Beach and just across the street from the ocean. Although the building is older our unit was very clean. It was a three story walk up with no elevators so it might not be as ideal for seniors. There was a small outdoor pool shared by the occupants of all units. It did have a furnished kitchen, dishwasher and laundry. The kids enjoyed the pool table on the main floor. The unit was reasonably priced. Owner was great to work with too. We would stay here again.

Great location, but.........................
The location was great but had several issues with the unit. There was a patio door that wouldn't lock, the cleanliness of the unit was poor, the parking spots in the garage were very tight, lack of inside seating space, handle of bath faucet fell off, counter top broken, unit very dated, and you could hear music from the outside every night until 2 in the morning. Called to ask if the temperature could be raised on the main floor since the thermostats were locked and was told to just turn off the breaker.
The property manager was very accessible and fast to respond to needs . The property is in a a. Very good location with onsite free parking and a minute’s walk to north Myrtle beach .
The property is big but could be better maintained . A lot of furniture seems to be in a bad shape . My recommendation is to upgrade the kitchen , bedrooms so that it can feel more pleasent . We also saw a couple of roaches in the master bedroom , and the property manager came right away to do some pest control.
Overall a decent experience.

Great location - not clean and smelled
We stayed at Ollie's Point. When initially arriving, we saw patrons in the small pool (picture is deceiving), and the pool was not clean at all. Upon entering the room, it was surprisingly outdated in every fashion. It had a smell to it that was hard to get past. The carpet needs to be torn out - holds a lot of the smell and is from the '70s. The countertop/bar is made of plywood and broken at one end. Only four bar stools, one broken. View from first floor balcony was blocked and all could see was trees. Neighbors are literally within reach if outside together - was awkward. Not a space for large group to eat together, so we were eating at the bar, our laps, and at the four-person table. After smelling the condo and looking around, it made you think the beds were dirty also, which was not very appealing. Master bed had something in it after pulling comforter off, so we requested a new mattress pad, which was delivered in less than 10 minutes. Overall, first impression was not good and we wanted to move.
After saying all that, once we got some air fresheners, our home-cooking infiltrated throughout the house, and the AC turned down to our liking, the placed worked fine and we all made the best of it. The showers were a hit with everyone (good pressure). The pool table supplied many hours of entertainment for the kids and adults. The pool hose was very helpful in cleaning off all beach items. The manager was very easy to talk to - he responded to questions and requests quickly. The charcoal grills and community patio area worked well for our meals. The location was perfect for walking to the beach (less than 2-minute walk), going to the shops, hitting up a few bars, and walking the strip.
In a nutshell, if they would make the inside look as nice as the outside looks, it would be a 5-star rating. Honestly, it made you feel dirty while you were there, but with a few good spirits and some laughter, we got over it :) We would not likely stay again, however, unless some upgrades were done on the inside.
