(The church was formerly known as Saint Nicholas) Although North Kelsey is mentioned in the Domesday survey, there is no record of the church in 1086. It dates from the 13th century, and was extensively rebuilt apart from the tower, in 1784 and 1860. It is thought that stone from the demolished South Kelsey church was used in the renovations. There is a western tower, nave with north aisle, chancel, vestry, and south porch. The tower contains some 13th century windows and an 18th-century doorway. There are three bells. The four-bay north aisle was a gift to the church by John Wyga in 1372. This was rebuilt by William White in the 19th C. incorporating pink marble piers. There is a slab in the chancel with a foliated cross probably from the mid-13th century. At the west end of the south wall of the nave on the outside of the church is a slab with zigzag patterning, probably a grave slab. There is a stained-glass window depicting a Victorian Jesse tree at the east end of the north aisle. The church has a small organ, maker unknown.

"Loved my stay, this was my first time in Hull and the listing made me think this was going to be a nice mid range hotel in the city. I loved this hotel the entrance at the far end of the road. This road had plenty of spaces even though I turned up after 11pm. The single room was comfortable and tidy and clean. The breakfast was delicious, a proper old fashioned English breakfast. The toaster cooked the toast perfectly and juice glasses were a sensible size. The staff were very friendly and I can’t recommend this enough. "

"I liked most things. The bed was one of the most comfortable on which I have slept. The bath was really nice, long and comfortable. The hot water was hot whenever I wanted it. I ate at the restaurant three evenings. The food was reasonably good but I feel that apart from the jam sponge and custard, the puddings were trying too hard and were too complex to sound attractive. I think that simpler puddings would be far better. I liked two of my main courses, the sausages and mash, and the Cowboy Burger, but the third was disappointing. It was the chicken and mushroom pie that had far too little filling and far too much pastry. I also wondered why it came with a huge amount of strongly flavoured gravy, though I did find that it was quite nice with the peas. I would have preferred a non-fried potato to the chips it came with. Mashed potatoes would have been ideal but a baked potato or simple boiled potatoes with herbs and butter would have suited the dish better (and gone better with the gravy.) The one problem that I had was with the online checkout; it didn't work properly but maybe the problem was the device and browser I chose to use. I used my iPad with DuckDuckGo."
