Labor Day shenanigans at Lincoln Beach. Lincoln Beach served New Orleans' African-American community during the time of segregation. You have to hop the levee/fence, cross the (active) train tracks, and then find one of the the trails that leads to the water. This is a view from the outside of part of the old arcade, a lingering reminder of what used to be. Unfortunately, the whole area is littered with trash as its not maintained by the city or the railroad locality. Windowless room not totally windowless

"The service was excellent, very friendly staff. I got a windowless room, but it came with a skylight. While at first I didn’t mind this, the early sun would beam down on me and wake me up super early. I wish I could have put a blind or something to cover the in coming light. "

"When I booked this hotel I had no idea it was going to be so nice. When I checked in the staff greeted me with a smile and process was quick and easy. Each staff member I encountered were very pleasant, professional and helpful. Once we walked in our room it smelled so good, very clean and decorated really nice. We will be booking again when we come back to visit!"
