"Great place for families visiting Shimoda and Izu Peninsula. Definitely a hotel catering to Japanese tourists, but with a little Japanese and respect the staff is very friendly and works with you. Some of the staff spoke some English. Bathhouse, arcade, and hotel amenities were great. Walking distance to everything downtown and easy spot to drive to other locations. Would definitely stay here again with family on vacation. "

"Fantastic hotel with great amenities. We had a sea view room and I think almost all rooms have that. We enjoyed the Onsen that had everything one needs including small sauna. The complementary soft drinks in the cosy lobby was a nice gesture and appreciated. Staff were very helpful and accommodating our requests and questions. Our 11year old daughter found plenty entertainment, we all loved the skin care fish for example. Keen to go back. Also Shimoda is beautiful, lots to do, i.e. beautiful walks, rope way."

"Our stay at Beachside Inn Shirahama was wonderful. It is such a friendly yet laid-back place with clean airy rooms and only a two-minute walk to the beach. The breakfast is tasty and the private hot baths are a fabulous bonus. Highly recommend!"

"The washlet bidet was not working. No change of room because of this issue. It is 15 minutes far which is hard to travel in Summer especially august. But otherwise, the stay and the people were pleasant. I loved the 温泉! "

"Great value at an extremely clean little motel. Saint Raphael villa is only a three minute walk to Shirahama Beach. There are no extra amenities but the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very clean. When my taxi driver was confused on the ride in, the Villa Owner agreed to meet the taxi at a nearby convenience store. Bus service in the area is convenient but it does not run very late. Really laid back and relaxing area. "
