Welcome to this private 2-bedroom apartment (approx. 800 sf / 74 m2) on the first floor of a two-story home in a convenient location. The apartment sleeps up to 5 people. There is a direct bus to New York City two blocks away. ALDI supermarket is only a few blocks away. There is also a laundromat within waking distance. You can park for free in the driveway (limit of one car). No parties, events, or smoking of any kind -- this is strictly enforced.

The neighborhood is conveniently located. Bus to NYC is two short blocks away. You can park for free in the driveway (limit of one car).

Two short blocks away from this house, there is NJ Transit Bus No. 115 that takes you to Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City (Midtown Manhattan). The ride takes about 45-60 minutes. You can also drive easily around this area and there is plenty of parking. Walking/jogging in the neighborhood is also very easy.

Self check-in and check-out are available. There is a lockbox with keys at the entry door to the building. We will send you the code to the lock box on the day of your arrival. The code will not be sent in advance.

The check-in window is 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you are planning to arrive after 11:00 pm, you must clear this with us. We will not be available to support you during check-in if you arrive very late at night (after 11:00 pm) and your check in will be entirely self-service at those hours. We will not issue refunds if you have any problems with check in after 11:00 pm. There is no luggage storage available at the property.

Please also note that this apartment is located in an older house. Some recent guests have arrived with higher expectations than what we can provide given the age of the house and layout of the apartment. The apartment looks like the photos in the listing and we keep it clean. It is a basic space with basic amenities. If you are looking for a functional and competitively priced place close to New York City and Newark Airport EWR, this would be a good space for you. If you are looking for a modern and luxury stay, this is probably not the place for you.

A few things to know before you book:

To keep our homes safe and welcoming for everyone, all guests complete a quick verification before arrival — we’ll reach out by email or text with the simple steps once you’ve booked, so please complete it before you travel.

Guests are also asked to either purchase a damage waiver or leave a refundable security deposit, and to sign a short rental agreement. A valid credit or debit card is required; if you’re paying us directly by card, we’ll ask for a photo of the front and back and a signed credit card authorization form, and the name on the reservation, card, and ID should match. Please also have a valid, current government-issued ID ready — if it’s expired we won’t be able to approve the stay, and no refund applies in that case. Additional charges may apply.

Wi-Fi is not included in your booking. Internet access at this property is offered only as a paid add-on, so please do not plan on free Wi-Fi during your stay. If you would like Wi-Fi, message us before or during your stay and we will send you the current rate and connection details.
Guests are responsible for bagging all garbage and placing the bags in the bins outside the building, or at the curb, as instructed by the host (host will communicate with guest regarding this).

If your unit has a thermostat and the thermostat is locked, do not tamper with it or try to break open the lock. Doing so is called vandalism and is highly inappropriate. We will withhold your security deposit if you do this and possible submit for more damages depending on the situation.

Also, guests must leave the apartment in the condition they found it (e.g. no leftover food, nothing that creates a need for excessive or deep cleaning). Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you`ve brought in, and discard all trash. Our cleaning fee is lower than most and it covers basic cleaning tasks like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchen and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation!

If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time.

If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, we will charge a $300 fee. If there are damages related to smoking or drug use, we will charge fees in addition to this $300.

Abnormal Cleaning Disclosure
Guests are expected to leave the property in a reasonably clean and orderly condition. Additional fees may apply for excessive or abnormal cleaning required after checkout, including garbage or trash left behind and cleaning beyond the normal scope of our standard turnover service. Any applicable charges will be assessed based on the condition of the property and the additional cleaning required.

Seasonal changeover: we`re switching from AC to heating over the next 3–4 weeks. No guaranteed date, and neither heating nor cooling is guaranteed during this period. Heat is set by us and not guest-adjustable — please don`t tamper with thermostat locks.

Support hours and late check-in: In-person support is available only between 9am and 9pm Eastern Time. Check-in ends at 9pm. Guests who choose to check in after 9pm do so at their own risk, and in-person assistance may not be available until the next morning. Messaging support remains available 24/7.
