Victorian Shotgun | 10 minutes to French Quarter

Come emerge yourself in the ultimate New Orleans experience! This centrally located victorian duplex is only a short walk to Downtown and the Superdome, or a swift 1 mile walk/drive/uber to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. There's also a brand new Trader Joe's a few blocks away!

Outfitted with stylish furniture, finishes, and decor, you and your guests will find all of the comforts of home. Featurning a stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, and high speed internet as just some of the amenities. Fall into soft sheets and plush linens after a long day of exploring all the city has to offer. Or take it outside to your own private, fully fenced backyard oasis, complete with a copper fire pit, Adirondack chairs, a BBQ pit with charcoal, and an outdoor cooler.

Our modern duplex can sleep up to 4 guests, ideal for small families or business travelers. The bedroom configurations are as follows:

Common Spaces: 1 Sofa (not a pullout), 1 Full Bathrooms featuring a bathtub and shower combo

The home is professionally cleaned prior to every stay and stocked with plenty of linens and towels for your group.

Like many areas of New Orleans, the neighborhood is undergoing some renovations just like this house did. Some homes have been completely restored and others are awaiting their salvation! While some spots in the area may look a little rough, we've never experienced any safety issues here and our neighbors are wonderful people!

Upon acceptance of your reservation, you will receive a welcome letter containing all of the information you need to access the home and ensure your stay is a memorable one! If you have any additional questions, we are available at any time to assist.

**There is a $200 security/damage deposit collected 3 days prior to arrival, and returned shortly after your stay. This is done as a $200 hold on your method of payment, not a full charge. Please see the rental agreement (required to be read and signed before booking) for more details. ***
1. The booking guest must have their ID uploaded to their airbnb profile.

2. Please be mindful of the neighbors sleeping. We recommend being quiet after 8:30pm (weekdays including Sundays) and 9:00pm (weekends).

3. While early check-in / late checkout may be available, this must be arranged ahead of time for an extra fee. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $50 charge for each hour after 11am - a 15 minute grace period is given. Late checkouts MUST be requested before 9PM the day before your departure.

4. Clean towels are a provided amenity. Each guest listed through your reservation will receive 1 bath towel and 1 face towel. We are unable to fulfill requests for additional towels during the duration of your stay. Plan ahead while packing, please bring extra towels if you or any of your guests anticipate needing more.

5. Smoking & vaping in the unit will result in a $500 deodorization fee. Please smoke outside of the property.

6. Unregistered guests and parties are prohibited by local laws and ILLEGAL. Our occupancy limits are set by local ordinance. Any guest found to have had a party or over-occupancy will be charged a $1,000 fee for non-compliance with local laws. Exterior cameras present at the property to verify these laws/house rules are not broken. As of May 2022, Airbnb has specifically banned parties from their units. Violation of this rule will result in a ban from Airbnb.

7. Please do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces.

8. Please do not use face towels to remove your makeup. It damages the towel.

9. If the space is left excessively dirty $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100

10. After you’ve read these rules, please send me a message with the words “yellow kangaroo” it will let me know that you have read the rules thoroughly.

11. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings from “Locals” at this time. Locals is meant to include anyone residing within 60 miles of New Orleans.

12. While we cannot receive any mail or packages to the space we will assist with getting packages shipped to New Orleans if needed.

13. Commercial video and photo shoots are strictly forbidden without prior and authorized consent. Associated day-rate fees, liability waivers and copyright contracts will apply if consent is given.

14. Message us for long term stays.

15. Garbage day is Monday, please bring trash can to the curb. Thank you!

16. All of our TV's are streaming, we do not provide any account information, you will have to log into your own. Please remember to log out at check out. We do not have cable TV.

17. RVs / Campers / Trailers are not allowed on the premises.

18. External power outlets can not be hooked up to the property under any circumstance.

19. Should you wish to receive an early check-in or late check-out, please let us know the day before and we will determine if it's possible. We require time to prepare the unit for your stay or after your stay for the next guest and sometimes we are unable to accommodate. If we can accommodate, we will charge $25/hour for the additional booking time. This will also be in place for dropping luggage off or leaving your luggage after checkout time has passed. Payment will be requested through Airbnb after your additional time has been approved.

20. Lost Items: We return lost items for a $75 flat fee.  This is to cover shipping costs, along with the time spent to retrieve & mail your item. If you leave anything at the unit, please let us know immediately.

21. This home allows dogs, limit of 2 and they must be 25lbs or smaller. There is a nonrefundable fee for pets charged at the time of booking, so please indicate pets when making your reservation. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 fine in addition to the normal fee.

Wonderful Property

We had a lovely stay at the Victorian Shotgun. The property was clean and well maintained. The beds were extremely comfortable, giving much rest to tired bodies after exploring the city all day. The property manager was wonderful to work with and easy to touch base with. I’d happily return to this property in the future.
