The one other review on this listing currently describes this house as ‘janky’ and that’s pretty much how I’d describe it too. My team and I rented this house for our yearly retreat and one of the reasons that we picked this place was that there are no stairs pictured (one of us has trouble with stairs)--but this is a three story house, and only one bedroom is on the first floor. There are a bunch of minor things wrong in the place, that would get fixed immediately by anyone who lived there (missing toilet paper holders, stuff like that) but because it's a short-term rental property, the detail stuff is overlooked. There are also what appear to be more structural issues (cracks in the ceilings and wall).
The listing describes the neighborhood as a ‘transitional area’. The Treme is historically a Black neighborhood, and if you’re uncomfortable with that, you shouldn’t stay here. I don’t think the location is a reason not to rent this place, and actually there’s a really good lunch spot 100 feet from the house with the most amazing lemonade. The outdoor space in general and the pool are really nice, the kitchen is well stocked with supplies, and the location is pretty central in the city. However, because of the very numerous issues with the house (I wish I could upload pictures because some of them were big issues), it left us feeling cold. The price is on the high side for what you get.
