This was a lovely place to stay - close enough to the French Quarter to easily walk there, but just far enough off the busy streets to be quiet at night.
Great location just outside of the French Quarter. Safe neighborhood just a short walk to pharmacy, groceries and cafes! We had a great time exploring New Orleans from here. Would definitely stay here again.
The Bohemian Bungalow was as advertised: well-equipped, comfortable, and flexible for people to come and go. The location was great--in a pleasant, quiet neighborhood adjacent to the French Quarter. We enjoyed our stay very much.
The owner is easy to reach with questions and very fast to respond. The property is clean, secury and comfortable. My family and I really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay again.
This property was the perfect spot of my stay in New Orleans.. It was very well managed and very comfortable for myself and my friends. Elizabeth was extremely helpful and polite in answering all of my questions! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Loved this location and house. Deck on 2nd floor perfect for morning coffee. Owner accommodating of us leaving bags for a little longer. Upper attic room does get warm but was fine given the chilly weather. Very close to restaurants, bars and music.
We really enjoyed this place. It’s relaxing and comfortable. The location is very good for walking to Frenchmen street. Loved the Ayu Bakehouse. The bar on the corner can be noisy especially after a Saints game. We would definitely stay here again.
This was a great place. Plenty of room, even with 6 people.
I think honestly the photos don’t do it justice for the size of the place. It’s bigger in person.
Very convenient and well maintained and the host was super communicative. Would definitely stay again!
We loved the house, it had everything we needed. Walkable to many places and a short uber to many others. The only complaint was that it could be a bit loud in the evening, but we got used to it. Loved having coffee at the Ruby Slipper each morning, just down the street.
Everyone was comfortable and Liz the owner was very responsive when we asked if we could check in a little early and check out a little late.
Great time in NOLA!
We absolutely loved our stay, and Liz was amazing - incredibly responsive and helpful. The home is beautiful and a work of art on its own with storied furniture pieces and art. You'll feel right at home. The neighborhood is walkable to so many things, including the French Quarter and street cars - and while a little up and coming - we felt safe, even with children. I think Liz describes the attic loft space and stairs very accurately and made sure we were comfortable. My teenage daughter LOVED the space and balcony outside. Next time I'm in NOLA, I will stay here again and highly recommend it.
This is the perfect location if you want to enjoy both Bourbon and Frenchman Streets and all they have to offer. We walked everywhere! Ages raged from 25 - 78. It was close enough to enjoy the party atmosphere of Bourbon while being able to retreat to a quiet space. Parking was good, however filled up quickly on the weekend. Outside balcony was perfect to enjoy a drink mid-afternoon before heading out for the night. Places you don't want to miss...Ayo Bakery on Frenchman, Ruby Slipper and the Frenchman Art Bazar. There were a few issues with supplies (no toilet paper, had to use an entire bottle of laundry detergent before washer would work), but we quickly resolved them. Generally clean. Will definitely consider staying here again.
The house was exactly as described. Loved the location with plenty of great food and amenities practically right outside the door. There’s foot traffic and a sometimes rambunctious bar on the corner but it is all part of the New Orleans experience we hoped to have. Appreciated the market just a couple blocks away and the house’s kitchen supplies. Liz was a great communicator and was ready to problem solve when we ran into an issue checking in. The house does have stairs to get in and accessing the loft/back deck requires climbing steep stairs (not everyone in our party felt comfortable making the climb) but that was as described and expected. Appreciated the house’s historic charm.
This is a great house in a great location. I've been to New Orleans many times and this is one of my favorite places I've stayed. Liz was an amazing host. The house itself is very clean, beds are comfy, and it's very quiet at night (which can be hard to find that close to the Quarter). I especially loved the little rooftop patio for morning coffee and cocktails at night.
The location was great. Very easy to walk to Frenchman or Bourbon during the day, and easy Uber rides to anything at night. There are a few bars and restaurants very near the house too. Recommend The Ruby Slipper for breakfast. It's just down the block and it was delicious.
Highly recommend staying here if you want to be close to all the action the Quarter and Frenchman street has to offer but still be able to have a lovely, quiet place to go back to.
The ratings are true! It is all the good things and MORE!
First off, the communication with the property owner Liz was amazing.
We were texting a couple of months beforehand and after a while it was almost like texting with a friend.
I am pretty high maintenance when it comes to rentals and she never lost her patience with me.
When we arrived we were able to meet the housekeeper Brittany as well, and she was also quite lovely.
The house was actually better than pictured. The stairs were described as slightly sketchy but they were actually way more solid/heartier than I expected them to be.
The upstairs area was a full floor (pics make it look like a tiny loft landing), the living room where I stayed was spacious, the air conditioner worked great, all the appliances were high-end, there was hot water, clean/new sheets…literally nothing to complain about.
There is a high end market 2 blocks away, an AMAZING brunch place also 2 blocks, Frenchman street a 5 min walk, and the quarter about a 12 min walk to the heart.
The only thing I will mention as we were a group of aged 50+ adults, if anyone in your group has back issues, I recommend the master bedroom first as it has the best mattress.
The mattress in the second bedroom was great for one person but kind of "tacoed" a bit with two large adults, and the daybed mattresses needed a bit more cushion to them for my comfort. Otherwise everything about this property, location, owner/staff, was absolutely fabulous!!!!
Everything went great for us. The place was even better than the pictures, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a memorable extended weekend.
The boho bungalow was in a nice neighborhood, very walkable to all the fun spots in New Orleans. Had all the amenities a group could need. Would stay here again.
