"This is the third time we've stayed at this charming cabin with our dog. The location is great, a walk to Chimney Rock and a short drive to Asheville. The stone steps would not be good for someone unsure of their footing. The cabin is well laid out so it feels roomy and always spotlessly clean. There are two ample screened porches, front and back, so pup has a lot of room to roam around. Definitely recommend."

The town is also very charming we spent most of the first day visiting the local shops - if you’re going to the area stay here!! "Overall, nice cabin. Back deck had a few boards that felt spongy when stepped on. Fridge/freezer stank, couldn't put any food in them. Tub had a white substance in it, ran water but didn't get in, water was milky with what looked like calcium from the jets. I really wanted to use it, was main reason I picked this cabin. Bed was amazing."

The biggest issue was the # of mosquitos - even with bug spray on they were relentless so it lessened out time outdoors. We also had difficulty finding Pilot Ridge Rd. "We had a wonderful stay at Lake Lure and enjoyed the condo. It is well stocked with everything you need. It is a short drive to the Lake and all the amenities at Rumbling Bald including the indoor pool, mini golf, hot tub and good food at Legends. We used the condo as a home base to go climb Chimney Rock and see Asheville. We had great communication with the owner and a neighbor who helped take care of things. It was a great getaway and recommend it."
