"Marriott Courtyards are usually pretty good, though some of them are a little worse for wear. The Marriott Rochester East/Penfield looked and felt clean and new. Everyone was very friendly from beginning to end, the rooms were comfortable, and we were able to watch the Yankees game on a comfy sofa in the lobby. What more do you need?"

"We decided to try something different for our trip to Rochester and booked a BnB. It was a delightful stay in a beautiful Park Ave neighborhood. The BnB is within walking distance of the Park Ave restaurants and lots of fun. The staff was delightful, and helpful. The camaraderie with the staff and other visitors was fantastic! The only complaint was the bath/shower arrangement was awkward, getting in and out of the shower was a bit dicey. More safety rails would be helpful. In any case, ...

"My room was so lovely, with a comfortable bed, a nice view of the city, very clean, and quiet. It's a great location for exploring the city - walkable to good restaurants (I loved La Bola), the GeVa Theater, Planetarium, and many good coffee shops (Albunn was fantastic). This hotel just has so much more character than a chain. Highly recommend! "

"Location of School 31 is convenient to many local activities. The re-use of the building is wonderful. Decor is fun and comfortable. We would certainly stay here again. It was a little quirky with the bathroom area being open to the rest of the room. Our room was on the road-side of the building and there was some traffic noise. The bed was very comfortable and room temperature controls were easy to use."

"Convenient location. Outside was very dark and we passed it 2x but once we found it, the lobby was nice and the front desk clerk was very friendly. Rooms were clean, bed comfy and water pressure is the shower was great."
