"Family room didn't match the pictures on the website. The bunk bed was incredibly unstable that we couldn't allow our child or anyone else to sleep up there. I can only presume the hotel are upgrading this room at a later time?. Unfortunately wasn't a pleasant stay due to someone having a domestic argument in the corridor and the condition of the walls meant we heard everything in the corridor and the room next door. Room clearly on the hotels to-do list."

"It’s a very basic hotel. There were a few stray hairs on the sink and bath. The desk wasn’t clean. Bedside cabinet had seen better days (room 119). Bed comfy, though I asked for extra pillowcases so I could double bag the pillows as I do not like exposed pillow edges (I think it’s unhygienic) and the receptionist said she did not have any to give me which was perturbing. Beware £5 per night parking charge."

"On arrival the reception lady was lovely check in was easy & the hotel looks very nice from the outside. Great first impression but when you get to the second floor can see it’s dated and half going through a refurbishment. When we got to our room it’s very evident it needs an update. Damp and musty smell, the bathroom was really old, wall papered ceilings and still lots of cracks! Lots of old sockets with blank plates but only 1 wall double plug socket to use (did have USB which was good and probably the only modern thing in the room) mattresses were very cheap and springy the bed bounced when you rolled over. The room & all linen was very white & clean. Felt like a big dent under the carpet in the floor next to the bed. We are not people to complain and it was a reasonable price for a family room so we just accepted ‘we get what we pay for’ for the room it served its purpose for us. We visited the restaurant which was very calm and friendly, but unfortunately we did complain although the food looked lovely on arrival off colour scampi, pink chicken and cod which looked like it was from an Aldi box of fish. Worried of food poisoning unfortunately we did send the food back and eat elsewhere. The young lad working front of house was really good and kind with resolving the issue. The staff were amazing and I think with a thorough refurbishment (not cheap cover up) this hotel will be amazing but have low expectations if you’re using while going through the refurbishment. "

"Front desk staff were horrible at check in, The asked them where the ice machine was, they told me on the first floor, went there could not find it, they insisted it was there. Asked a different staff member the next morning and was told the ice machine was broken and removed a few days before"

"The room was a good size and the parking was free all weekend. However the pool area was so busy we didn't use it, the bar and restaurant was very expensive. "
