About this property
"Maisonette Rosy," a historic house overlooking Naples
The “Maisonette Rosy” is a cozy and unique vacation rental—even its name describes it perfectly—a small house with a spacious, open-concept layout spread over two floors. Equipped with every comfort, it also holds mementos and pieces of my life that I’ve chosen to share with my guests. It’s situated along the “Pedamentina di S. Martino,” a 14th-century staircase and UNESCO World Heritage Site that leads from the heights of Castel Sant’Elmo and the adjacent Certosa di S. Martino in the hilly Vomero neighborhood down to Corso Vittorio Emanuele and the historic center, all the way to the sea! A truly fascinating route, rich in breathtaking panoramas and views of incredible beauty! My Maisonette is located right in the middle of this route and can accommodate up to 6 people. The Maisonette is also eco-friendly, so the use of plastic and disposable items is very limited, with a preference for natural and durable materials!

The property was clean, well appointed, and as described. Even more so, the host, Rosy, was VERY helpful in coordinating arrival, recommendations, and scheduling a very early morning taxi to the airport for us. She left a kind welcome gift as well, and the place felt like home. Our only regret was not staying longer. As a note, keep in mind that this property is about halfway down the massive pedestrian stairwell. Be prepared to haul any luggage by hand down or up hundreds of oversized steps. I recommend starting at the top and going down to the apartment on arrival, and then continue going down on departure to the bottom. This wasn’t a surprise - we knew about it beforehand - but underestimated the number of steps and distance still. Overall, a great stay with a great place and a great host - thank you for the continued support throughout our stay, Rosy!

Firstly our flight was delayed and we reached past midnight and Rosy support was exceptional as she was available on WhatsApp past midnight to support with the check in. Property is located right in the middle of the historic stairs and if you have family, little kids and heavy luggage you will struggle access the property. Shower has issues and needs to be fixed. Rosy did mention she would take care of it quickly. Overall good experience just beware of the stairs:-)
