「Politeness of the staff 」

「Getting to the property was tough, very tough but so worth it. I was lucky enough to go outside of the wet season but it was still hard. The facility itself is beautiful and the food is delicious. The staff is beyond kind and helpful. The shower though, it hardly worked and water went everywhere. Booking online on their direct site was giving us a challenge until we booked through Expedia and from here we had no issues. There is not fitness room so that was sad and no iron. 「My wife and I stayed at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge for four nights in December 2025. We loved every minute of it. The room was spacious and comfortable, the food was good (buffet style, full board) and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We are birders and saw many good species in the immediate vicinity of the lodge. Full-day or half-day 'game drives' are also an option.」

「This is an excellent property for short, and especially, long stays. The host is very helpful to guide us to the property and walked us through all the facilities the property can provide. There is an onsite staff through most of the day that provide the security and the convenience during our stay. It's worth all of the money we paid for the stay and I strongly recommend it to everybody.」

「The Manager Liz was brilliant. Sammy a member of their staff was simply great. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool and beautiful gardens. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food variety is basic but cooked well and hygienic. We had a great time and they really looked after us. We can only say a big thank you and we look forward to staying with you again.」

「Super mooie plek. Super lief en vriendelijk personeel! Game drive geboekt vanuit het hotel naar Nakuru National park. De gids had veel ervaring. Ideaal hotel voor reizen met baby van 1,5 jaar. Het eten was echt fantastisch. Zeer vriendelijke kok die van voetbal houd. Goed hotel om van je telefoonverslaving af te komen. Nadelen: Er is niks in de direct omgeving om te lopen. 」

「Clean rooms, clean restroom, comfortable beds, friendly staff, fast and easy check-in, breakfast was decent, hotel restaurant food was delicious 😋 The hotel manager kindly provided information on a Safari tour agency to explore Lake Nakuru National Park.」

「The staff were very friendly and helpful and helped us practice our Swahili. We ate dinner and breakfast at the in house restaurant which was delicious. Our room was great and had everything we needed. We were also able to park in the reserved hotel parking out the front and the security helped us with our bags too. We had a great stay here and will hopefully be back next time we visit Nakuru!」

「We enjoyed our stay at Sleepway Cottages, but we were without internet, that was advertised to be working, for 4 days which was a very scary time for our family back in the states who could not get in touch with us. Our stay would have been better if we had dependable internet and toilet seats on the commode. Also, we made the reservations for 5 people and when we arrived the rooms were not side by side but there was a room in between ours and our children which was a little scary.」
