"Clean room and resort. Some problems with wifi but staff responsive. Had issue with thick pillows and were offered alternatives. Rough volcanic tiles in private pool. Be aware as scratches/removes your skin. Side of pool a bit green. Needs a good scrub. Bathroom needed redesigning. Lots of wasted space. Blackout lining on curtains would be appreciated and an extra curtain between bedroom and living area would be nice. "

"This was our sixth stay at The Slate, and once again we loved the hotel and its friendly staff. A few minor points: dinner at Tin Mine was disappointing and not up to its usual standard, the gym is slightly worn and could use updates like new treadmills, and the “adults-only” pool had limited seating, with many loungers reserved by absent guests. A simple system where loungers are assigned at check-in could improve this. Overall, we were very satisfied and will definitely return."
