Muscat is a peacefull capital with almost 500.000 citizens. The incense burner on top of the hills is located in the old part of Muscat. You can visit the souq, museum, the palace of the Sultan, do dolphin watching tour, go to several forts —-> Oman is simply amazing :- )

The staff were good about accommodating my special requests. Housekeeping service was spectacular. Room and hotel were clean. Room was spacious. Staff were friendly. However, it was not a perfect stay and I'm tempted to take a star off. The hotel did not respond to my Expedia message. I also asked for a hand towel, and the response was because i'm in a single standard I only get one towel. This was not a welcoming gesture. An extra towel is such a small thing to make a customer happy. Fortunately they gave it to me without issue. I also didn't receive water on one day, and when I asked for it I was questioned. Again, one small bottle of water is a small thing to make a client happy. But despite these, it was a very enjoyable stay.
