Museum of Classical Archaeology

My bedroom was located directly above the outside seating area next to the bar. Unfortunately, customers remained outside drinking, talking, and making noise until around 3:00 a.m., which meant I was unable to get a proper night's sleep. When I mentioned this to the receptionist while checking out the following morning, she apologised for my experience, but no further action or explanation was offered. I appreciate that guests want to enjoy themselves, and I am not suggesting that this should be prevented. However, I would recommend that, after midnight, bar staff ask customers to continue their conversations inside the bar rather than in the outside seating area, so that guests trying to sleep are not disturbed. As a result of the lack of sleep, I then had to drive four hours home while feeling extremely tired, which was both unpleasant and concerning from a safety perspective.

Room very clean and housekeeping in attendance. Breakfast - chaotic but a very busy period for hotel; staff multi-tasking perhaps a bit too much; guests not too sure where anything was located at buffet; no room-check 'just turn up' gives impression of low-value aspect. Everything else, fine.
