"The location is excellent. Really centrally located and walkable to everything you would need in Sorrento. Valet service is offered if you have a car and they are one of few hotels that are dog friendly with no weight restriction - we have a medium dog which falls way over the standard 5kg or generous 10kg rule! The staff however, do not really leave an impact. Reception staff answer all questions appropriately but I wouldn’t describe as warm or friendly. F&B staff in abundance at breakfast but the spread was disappointing and coffee always delivered cold. Three mornings with three different coffees tried, all served tepid at most. Shame as it is a classic and old Italian building which has its charm otherwise. "

"This is a beautiful property in a fantastic location. The room was very clean, very well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The balcony over the ravine was a nice bonus as well. Restaurants and shops are an easy walk nearby, and there is a grocery store near which was very nice. We would stay in this hotel again in a heartbeat and would readily recommend it to friends and family. We loved Sorrento so much and this hotel was the perfect place for our stay! "

"I usually do not take the time to complete reviews, even when I really enjoy the location. In this case, I’m anxious to do so, as the Grand Hotel Capodimonte in Sorrento, Italy, is an amazing place. Probably the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, which not only includes our room, but the elevator, restaurant, lawns, etc. The location is amazing – you simply walk about 150 yards down the hill and you’re in the heart of the best shopping and dining in the city. Other hotels are on the strip, but they are “too busy”, and the 150 yard walk is worth it. A 10-minute walk to the marina to catch ferries to Pasitano, Alalfi, Capri, etc., and a 15-minute walk to the bus terminal for additional options. The staff could not have been more friendly. Complimentary breakfast was first class all the way. Our plane left super-early from Naples (1.5 hours away), so we had to leave before breakfast was served. The hotel made us a “travel breakfast bag” to eat on the way to the airport. Incredibly thoughtful and much appreciated. One of my finest travel experiences ever. A+++ and highly recommended.
