I will say the staff were very kind, location was very convenient for attending a concert, and the building itself had character...
However. Drawbacks included.. not a clean space.. the carpet was very dirty, as were the windows and surfaces. The toilet was leaking water, the bathroom door didnt lock. There was no microwave or coffee machine in the room. There was no key card for the doors which felt unsafe as i had to memorize both the code for the front door and for the main door. This would all be manageable but on top of this the neighborhood seemed very unsafe. I'm someone who had worked with homelessness and substance use so i usually feel safe in seedy neighborhoods.. but this was particularly dangerous feeling. The parking suggested by the hotel wasn't accessible because of large crowds of people who appeared to be using drugs heavily in the alley you need to take to get to the parking garage. At about 11pm all these crowds moved out into the main street. From my window i could witness sex workers, lots of substance use, and around midnight a violent incident led to the street being closed off by police and ambulances. It was quite scary...
The staff were very helpful and reassuring, but if you plan on being out at night at all i would not recommend this hotel unfortunately.
I rarely leave poor reviews but i wish i had been prepared for my night here. I was quite shaken witnessing the events out front of the hotel.
