The whole experience also felt very private despite ‘sharing’ the property with the hosts, which actually added peace of mind that they could help if anything went wrong (nothing did of course). Didn’t realize that people live in the basement when we booked it as nothing mentioned in description. Not a big deal as we never heard or saw them only the cigarette smell coming in when we were on the deck or had the window open. The shower was difficult to keep water in the pan and the compostable toilet was not pleasant.
