It was a good 15 minutes before any member of staff appeared to check me in. I was then passed to a second person, who had to start the process again, before being handed a set of keys and promptly dismissed. The room was adequate for one night and appeared reasonably clean at first glance. However, a chair leg collapsed when I sat down, the bathroom sink still contained evidence of the previous guest’s shave, and the pedal bin was broken. Had I not been staying for business and using a reward night, I would have been very disappointed.
